🏆 AUGUST ATHLETE OF THE MONTH: NOAH WOMELDORF 🏆

Noah earned this one.

As the winner of our August Back-to-School Challenge, he consistently showed up 3–5 days per week, brought his friends along, attacked every session relentlessly, and set multiple PRs throughout the month.

Noah was an absolute beast all August, and his results reflected the work he put in.

Congratulations, Noah! Keep setting the standard! 💪🔥

Most parents fall right into the In-Season Speed Trap without realizing it.

You spend all summer paying for speed training, camps, and sessions to build explosive power. But the second the season starts and dedicated speed work stops?

The clock starts ticking backward. ⏳

Here’s the reality:
⚡ Speed has a short shelf life. Research shows athletes begin losing measurable speed and power within 2–3 weeks of stopping training.
📉 The compound loss: A kid running 20 mph in August drops to 18.5 mph by mid-September. Repeat that cycle every year, and by junior year, they are stuck at 19 mph instead of hitting 21 mph.
🚫 In-season isn’t offseason. Keeping your speed doesn't mean grinding until you're sore before a game. It takes low-volume, smart micro-dosing to preserve your power, keep legs fresh for the 4th quarter, and prevent nagging injuries.

Don't let October steal the gains you built in July.

👉 Swipe through to see how the Speed Trap works and how to break the cycle.

This weeks Lab Weekly Recap

08/20/2026

Your athlete doesn't need more of the same.

If they play baseball, basketball, soccer, or any other sport year-round, they're already getting plenty of sport-specific movement.

But athletic development is bigger than the sport.

Young athletes need to learn how to move in different ways, produce and absorb force, control their bodies, and solve movement problems their sport doesn't always give them.

That's the value of performance training.

We're not trying to replace their sport. We're trying to build the athlete underneath it.

Because a better athlete gives you a better foundation to build a better player.

Don't just build a better player. Build a better athlete. 💪

Thomas Greer | Randolph-Macon ’29 🦌

Thomas was one of those athletes who made it easy to coach. He showed up consistently, put in the work, and trusted the process.

Over his time with us, he completely transformed his body — adding significant size and strength while continuing to develop as a midfielder.

The biggest thing? None of it happened overnight. It came from months of consistent work and a willingness to keep getting better.

Proud of the work, Thomas. Keep it rolling. 💪
