Love basketball and want to be part of the action? The City of R***e is looking for Youth Basketball Referees for the upcoming season! 🙌

Help young athletes learn the game, build confidence and have fun on the court while earning $35 per game, depending on experience and qualifications.

📅 Season: October 2026–February 2027
💼 Position: Part-time, seasonal
💰 Pay: $35 per game, depending on experience & qualifications

What a summer! The staff at R***e Parks & Recreation would like to send a huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out, splashed around, and made the final weekend of the 2026 season so much fun! 💙

Ready to hit the court? 🏀 Give your daughter the chance to learn, compete, build confidence and have fun with R***e Parks & Recreation’s Girls Basketball League!

This in-town developmental league welcomes players of all skill levels and focuses on teamwork, fundamentals and creating a great basketball experience. 🙌

👧 Who: 3rd–6th Grade

📅 Season:
• 3rd–4th Grade: Sept. 28–Nov. 28
• 5th–6th Grade: Sept. 28–Dec. 5

🏀 Practices: Monday–Thursday, 5–8 p.m.
🏆 Games: Saturdays
💰 Cost: $55–$65

🏐🔥 Adult Coed 6 vs. 6 Volleyball Is Underway! 🍂

The season is officially in full swing, and the competition is heating up! 🙌 Both our Competitive and Recreation leagues are bringing the energy, teamwork and plenty of great plays to the court each week.

This year, 16 teams are battling it out — 6 in Competitive and 10 in Recreation — with games taking place weekly at R***e High School and R***e Middle School. 🏐💪

🚧🛝 Birch Park Playground Closed Today and tomorrow for Maintenance 🔧💚

A little TLC is happening at Birch Park! Our newest playground is closed today, Tuesday, September 8, while crews complete scheduled maintenance and repairs to keep it safe, fun and ready for plenty more play. 🌳✨

The playground will remain closed through Wednesday, September 9, with repairs needing to cure overnight and into Thursday morning. It is scheduled to reopen by midday Thursday, September 10. 🎉

🌳 The rest of Birch Park remains open! Please stay clear of the playground work zone and use caution around workers and equipment.

Thanks for your patience while we take care of the playground and get it ready for more big adventures! 💚🛝
