Please be advised that the Red Rock grounds will be closed for all individual training starting this weekend and continuing through the end of next weekend.

An American Field Trial is currently underway and will be occupying the grounds for an extended period. To show proper respect to the club hosting this event, please refrain from using both the Upper and Lower Red Rock grounds for any individual dog work or scouting through the conclusion of their event.

Ground Closure Details:
Duration: Effective immediately through the end of next weekend.
Scope: This prohibition applies to all individual training and field work.
Respect the Trial: Long trials require an undisturbed environment. By staying clear of both the upper and lower sections, we ensure the competing dogs and handlers have the best possible conditions for their runs.
Looking Ahead:

Once the trial has concluded and the grounds are clear, we will send out a follow-up group email to notify everyone when our regular club group trainings will resume.

Maintaining a respectful relationship with the broader field trial community is a priority for our club. We appreciate your cooperation in giving the visiting club the space they need.

Save the Date! CPR Class
In our club, we always look out for one another—and our dogs! To help make sure we’re all prepared for emergencies whether we're at home, at a meeting, or out in the field, the GSPC of Reno is excited to host a CPR, First Aid, and AED certification class.
This is a great opportunity to learn life-saving skills or refresh your current certification in a relaxed environment with your fellow club members.
The Details
When: June 27, 2026
Time: 9am to 1pm
Where: Advantage CPR, 2900 Mill St, Reno, NV 89502 Suite E
Member Cost: $60 (The total class fee is $80, but the club is happy to chip in $20 to help cover the cost for our members!)
Refreshments: The club will provide snacks and drinks to keep us fueled. You’re also more than welcome to bring along any of your own favorites.
Schedule: We’ll be taking several short breaks throughout the session to stretch our legs. Please keep in mind there won't be a formal lunch break, so please plan accordingly.

To make sure we have everything ready, you’ll need to register and pay in advance to hold your spot. If your plans change, please let us know by June 13, as we won’t be able to offer refunds after that date.

Clover, owned and handled by Cimdy Smullen had a fantastic weekend at the GSP Club of Northern Sacramento Valley Field Trial at Quail Point. Clover was awarded a second place.in Amateur Gun Dog and a fourth place in Amateur Limited Gun Dog! Congratulations!
