When I was a kid recess was a time to move, play, socialize, make bonds, have fun, take a break from learning. Now kids have less time to do this because they need to learn more to stay up with standards. The sad part of all this is that kids are not demonstrating the increased intelligence from having less or no recess when they are tested. Failing approach, it seems. A profound cost to society!
