ng, sporting clays is often referred to as "golf with a gun". With its roots coming from England, sporting clays is a shotgun shooting game in which clay pigeons are presented to the gunner in ways that mirror the flight pattern of game and occasionally rabbits, in their natural habitats. The shooting grounds are laid out in stations with each station representing one type bird or combination of game. The current sporting clay course has 22 stations, plus a 5-stand and wobble trap making a great way to sharpen your skills or promote team building. Shooting Preserve
Experience the thrill of the hunt and select from a variety of pursuits accompanied by a professional guide and trained dog. Whether you prefer wild game or the convenience of upland birds in a preserve setting we offer something to satisfy both the novice and experienced hunter. On our regulated shooting area (RSA), live birds are set in tall grasses, and then located by the hunter and bird dog. Popular upland birds include Pheasants, Quail, Chukar and Hungarian Partridge. If Water Fowl is more to your liking, we can accommodate with Wild Duck and Goose hunts. The birds are released in a controlled environment in a pond area surrounded by timber. Deer and Turkey hunting are also available with or without an accompanying guide. Events
Enjoy an outdoor ceremony and celebration along the majestic banks of the Wye River. We can provide an upscale wedding to an outdoor barbeque picnic for the family handling the planning and execution of your event from beginning to end and all of the details in between. Whether your guests total 10 or 250 or more, we can accommodate you. We have the activities that will make your family outing or corporate picnic a success. Each distinctive venue is accompanied by impeccable service. The Welcome Center offers a panoramic bird's eye view of the stunning landscape and can acommodate up to 100 people.

Beat the Heat continues until August 15th. Wed, Thurs, Fri and Sun the course will be open 9:00 to 3:00, last start time at 1:00, Saturday remains 9:00 to 5:00, last start time at 3:00.

For the remainder of July, we will be opening early and closing early. Wed, Thurs, Fri and Sunday the course will open at 9:00 and close at 3:00. Saturday will remain 9:00 to 5:00.

We had a cable break. We have no internet or phones today. We will be open regular hours this week with no events.

The course will be closed Saturday July 4th so our staff may enjoy the 250th anniversary with their families. We will be back open on Sunday July 5th.
