Update: Well, we have a down pour going on now. I doubt I can tell you if it will rain on us tonight or not. Use your best judgement before you head out, if it looks like rain here in Paris I will stay home.

50 bird derby - $15.00

Saturday March 14th will be the next 2 gun match.

The first two stages will be at the 600 yard range then drive over to shoot the other stages on the 100-200 yard range.

This months 2 gun match is a carbine/pistol match similar to the 3 gun matches held in the past but without a shotgun.
4 stages using both carbine and pistol.
Round count max 100 rifle, 100 pistol
Carbines will need slings and pistols need good holsters with retention. Mag pouches, chest rigs or plate carriers will be needed. We will be downloading mags in order to force mag changes during stages
This match gives shooters a chance to test out their equipment that they don't get a chance to check out in other matches.

One thing to add about the 2 gun matches. This will not be typical 3 gun rules. You can use a scope and offset red dot sights. The match is being set up to mimic the shooting rules of a run n gun match minus the running.

Matches will start at 830, sign in at 8 at the 600 yard range.
$10 for members, $20 for non members
a $10 charge will be added if competitors can't stay to help clean up match after shooting has completed.

HCGC 24 Jan 26 Sniper Match is Cancelled
ALCON,
After a long discussion with the official World Sniper Championship weather woman, we are cancelling the match this Saturday. Right now the low that morning is 11 degrees with a high of 19 degrees that afternoon.
I would tell you that the cold weather makes the AR500 plate brittle and prone to break but that would only be half of the answer.
The real answer could be that Andy Lundberg has never had a rifle out in 15 degree weather and experienced oil freezing his firing pin in place.
Could be that "Raging Rick" would still load up and head to the club knowing that a seventy year old man does not need to be out in that cold weather no matter how much hair he has on his back.
We all know that Eric Shane Derby doesn't shoot in below thirty degree weather even though we know he will be out there pulling cars out of the ditch that day.
Brian Griffiths and Chris will have their wood stoves going full blast in Stewart County, well that's just what you do after stocking up on milk and eggs.
Can you imagine how loud Chris Morris would be in a snow covered environment.
No, the real reason is that this Match Director is not spending five hours out in 15 degree weather with his soft behind!
