A Message to Our Patients:

I wanted to take a moment to personally update my/our patients and let you know that I will be away from the office for a period of time while Jamey and I support our son, Adyn, through his bone marrow transplant and recovery.

As many of you know, our son has been battling aplastic anemia, and we have now entered one of the most important parts of his journey. Adyn has been admitted to UAB for the transplant process, and I will be staying with him throughout his hospitalization.

During this time, Jamey and I are doing our best to work together as a team—both for our family and for Platinum Wellness Center. I will remain with Adyn at UAB while continuing to be involved with the clinic remotely as much as possible. Jamey will continue working at Platinum Wellness Center, helping keep things running smoothly and handling anything I am unable to manage remotely. When he is off from the clinic, he will be coming to Birmingham to spend time with Adyn and me.

Our wonderful staff will also continue to be there for you, and I will remain in close communication with everyone at the clinic. Our goal is to make this transition as seamless as possible and ensure that our patients continue to receive the care and attention they are accustomed to.

Caring for my patients has always been incredibly important to me, so stepping away physically is not something I take lightly. Right now, though, Jamey and I are simply doing what we need to do as parents—making sure one of us is always there for Adyn while the other helps take care of the clinic we have worked so hard to build.

We cannot adequately express how grateful we are for the patience, grace, prayers, and overwhelming support so many of you have shown Adyn and our entire family. It truly means more to us than you know.

Thank you for allowing us the grace to navigate this season as a family while continuing to care for our patients in every way we can.

I look forward to being back in the clinic as soon as I am able. Until then, please know how much Jamey and I appreciate your understanding, patience, and continued trust in our Platinum Wellness Center family.
