Wells Youth Baseball (WYB, formerly known as Wilson JBO) provides a transition from youth baseball to high school level of play. It is a feeder baseball program for Ida B. Wells-Barnett High School, in Southwest Portland.

Looking to elevate your game in the off-season? Check this out 👇

🔸Who: WYB Senior level players (7th and 8th graders)
🔸What: WYB Fall Defensive Skills Clinic
🔸When: Tuesdays, 6:00 - 7:30 (starting THIS TUESDAY - 8/25)
🔸Where: Clopton Field, Ida. B. Wells High School
🔸Why: Similar to last fall, players will have the opportunity to participate in program wide defensive skills practices led by Chad Ulogar and assisted by WYB senior level coaches. Chad is a professional instructor, who was formerly with EForce and currently coaches a high level 16U regional tournament team. He has provided instruction for several WYB teams and players over the past 4 years.
🔸Cost: $160/player for the entire fall session

Fall Ball Registration for Wells Youth Baseball Seniors (Incoming 7th and 8th Graders) Now Open! 📣The teams will participate in the North Clackamas Fall Ball league.

Registration will close on August 17, so we encourage prompt action to secure your spot.

Season runs: August 30 - October 25 (Sundays, with no games scheduled during Labor Day Weekend).

Optional Practice: Our coaches will provide weekly practice sessions, working around traditional fall sports schedules. Details to be shared once finalized.

Registration Fee: $200 per player.

Coach Armstrong, Coach Kornblit and Coach Manning, participated in the Wilson/Wells alumni game today vs. seven players they coached in Wells Youth Baseball, representing the 2022 Senior Federal, 2023 Senior American and National, and 2024 Senior National teams. Huge congratulations to the WYB Senior American team on their 🥇finish in JBO district tournament this weekend. The team worked hard all weekend, including playing three great games of baseball today to take home the title. Well done👏, and good luck at State next weekend.

We got a little ahead of ourselves in the last post. 😅 The Senior American team was playing Newberg this morning, not Tillamook. But that’s okay, because after a successful outing against Newberg, the Senior American team is off to the championship game against TILLAMOOK!
Head out to Hillsboro and cheer the team on to victory. Tillamook is currently undefeated, so the team needs two wins to take the crown.
