VYP grads/Valor athletes showed up big time at the Festival of Champions today in Belfast, ME!

Everyone cruised and not all of our kids are in this picture but here are a *few* highlights…

It was a photo finish in the boys seeded section with our senior star Atticus Merriam of Scarborough taking the win in 15:21! Going sub 16 for the first time and racing in the seeded section freshman Mateo Diaz of Falmouth took 3rd in a blazing fast 15:44! In the freshman section Sawyer Wess of Winthrop took the win in 16:34 placing him 25th overall ⚡️

In the freshman girls section Reagan Mattson of Maranacook won with a big PR of 18:55 and Nora Schmidt of Portland placed third in the seeded girls section with a time of 17:41 🤯 leading the Bulldogs to a 5th place finish!

Congrats to all of our athletes that raced today. It’s a gift getting to see everyone soar through their high school years. What’s even cooler is seeing how their club experience has grown their friend circles as they move from club teammates to racing against each other for their schools. This sport is the best!
