We had a great time at Alliance Rifle Club for the 2026 Buckeye XTC Championship Weekend! Despite some wet weather on Sunday, a range capacity crowd for Round 1 of the Ohio Rifle Triple Crown Series put up some incredible scores. Congrats to match winner Fritz Hempelmann, with a remarkable 794 - 31x!

The Memorial Day EIC match was won by Randy Olds with a score of 493 - 17x, nice work Randy! Two legs were awarded at this match:

8 point leg: Lena Griggs, 490- 18x
6 point leg: Jace Diezman, 484 -10x

Lena was able to leg out and earn her Distinguished Rifleman's Badge with this incredible performance!

Our aggregate winner of Sunday's Triple Crown 800 and Monday's EIC was Bob Gill, with a score of 1285 - 61x! Randy Olds was second in the aggregate by x-count at 1285 - 47x, and just behind them was Aaron Guliuzza with an aggregate score of 1283 - 53x. Congrats gents!

Our last match of the weekend was the Haerter and Yale 2-Man Team State Championship, which was won by Joe and Gabby Hendricks with a new National Record score of 593 - 21x!

All of Sunday's competitors were able to leave with products graciously donated by this events incredible sponsors. We mean this sincerely when we say it is in all of our best interest to support the companies that support us. These companies went above and beyond, and when it's time to make your next High Power related purchase, please head their way first!

A huge thanks to Charles Rowe, Kimberly Rowe, Gabrielle Hendricks, Joe Hendricks Jr., Sara Bernice and Brian Williams for putting on an outstanding weekend of matches. Everything ran exceptionally, and our community is very lucky to have folks like you that sacrifice your own personal time for the benefit of all of us. Thank you!

Our next matches will be the Second Round of the Ohio Rifle Triple Crown & 2026 Ohio High Power State Championship and 2026 Governors Match at Camp Perry the weekend of June, 27-28 during the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) 2026 National Match Warm-Up events! We look forward to seeing everyone there.

Looking like a record turnout for our 2026 Buckeye XTC Championship Weekend! We still have room for competitors in the Memorial Day EIC match! Please give us or Alliance Rifle Club a heads up if you would like to come out and shoot with us on your journey to a Distinguished Rifleman's badge!

Congrats to our Ohio Rifle Team marksmen who competed in the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) Eastern Games at Camp Butner!

Roy Edward Mitchell Jr. Swept the Mid Range and Long Range events in the Match Rifle Class, winning every day in his class as well as the overall aggregates. Aaron Guliuzza was High Civilian Service Rifle on High Power Days 1 and 2, with a score of 791-29x and 794-39x respectively. Tim Plowman was High Match Rifle on High Power Day 1 with a score of 791-41x, and Joe Hendricks Jr was High Match Rifle on High Power Day 3 with a score of 793-34x.

The team of Joe, Aaron, Terry Paul and Ohio Rifle Team legend Jack Jones also placed first in the 4-Man Rifle Team event!

Our team members will be on the line this summer, and just as important to us as strong finishes is sharing knowledge and helping all Ohio Rifle & Pistol Association High Power competitors. Please don't hesitate to ask any of the team for help! We will see you on the line.

Congrats to Adams Conservation Club for winning the Littleton Trophy as the top state club team this year!

Our top three teams and scores were:
Adams Conservation Club 1470 - 60x
Sycamore Rifle Club 1464 - 54x
Miami Rifle And Pistol Club 1457 - 48x

Roy Edward Mitchell Jr. would take the win in the Ohio Reduced Course State Championship, nice shooting Roy!

Top 3 finishers in the Reduced Course State Championship:
Roy Mitchell Jr 793 - 29x
Aaron Guliuzza 791 - 41x
Andrew Griggs 789 - 31x

Our Top Junior was Eli Graff with a score of 787-37x

As always, thank you to Zanesville Rifle Club for being an excellent host range! We had 6 teams for Littleton, and a great turnout with a lot of juniors and new shooters!

Spring is finally here and our next State Match will be Sunday, May 24th with the first Ohio Rifle Triple Crown match at Alliance Rifle Club! Joe Hendricks Jr. has complied over 9k in very generous donations for our prize table this year! Monday, May 25th will be our annual EIC match followed by the Haerter & Yale 2 Man Team Championship. We'll see you there!

Everyone, one of our members, Charles Rowe is running as a Write-In candidate for the NRA Board of Directors. It is critical that we keep competitive shooters like Chuck on the board, as their presence directly benefits all of us. Please follow the instructions below and write in "CHARLES ROWE, WADSWORTH, OHIO" on your ballot!

Hello All,
As most of you know, I am Captain of the U.S. Rifle Team (F-T/R), a member of the U.S. Palma Team & USNRT, and am a long-time competitive rifle shooter. I am currently on the Board of Directors of the NRA, but my term expires in April and due to the unique circumstances with the large number of resignations from the board, I am not on the official ballot for this election cycle.

Therefore, I am running as a Write-In Candidate and am asking for your support. The NRA has very few (and rapidly declining) competitive shooters on the Board. We desperately need representation.

Therefore, when you receive your NRA American Hunter or American Riflemen magazine containing the ballot for the candidates of the NRA Board of Directors, my name will not be listed. For me to stay on the Board, it will require my name to be written in. There are blank spaces for write-in candidates on the reverse side of the ballot.

To enter a write in vote for me, all that is needed is to write on the line provided on the ballot is my name and city/state of residence, per the below:

CHARLES ROWE, WADSWORTH, OHIO

When you receive your ballot, please seriously consider a write in vote for a High Power rifle competitor that will represent our interests. And also consider bullet voting (i.e., only vote for those specific people you want on the board - the fewer votes you cast, the more each vote counts - try not to vote for a full slate, but limit your votes and write-in to just a few candidates to maximize your voting power).
