Today we’re celebrating Sophia! ❤️🖤

Sophia is a sophomore who truly has a team-first mentality. Whether she’s basing, tumbling, or being asked to try something new, she’s always willing to jump in and do whatever the team needs. She works hard, brings a great attitude, and you can almost always find her with a smile on her face!

We love the attitude and versatility Sophia brings to the team and are excited to see what she accomplishes this season. Happy Birthday, Sophia! 🎉

What a way to kick off the 2026–2027 season!

Our JV & Varsity cheerleaders hit the floor last night at Red & White Night and brought the energy! 📣 From the motions and stunts to tumbling, we are so proud of this group and excited for what’s ahead.

Today we’re celebrating Maddie! ❤️🖤

Maddie is a sophomore and in her second year with OHS Cheer! She’s a hardworking and dependable base, a great teammate, and an even better friend. She gets along with everyone and brings positive energy wherever we go, whether it’s practice, a game, or a team event!

Irelynn brings so much enthusiasm and personality to our JV team! She has great motions, is always willing to help, and definitely knows how to keep her teammates laughing. As a back spot, she’s encouraging, uplifting, and always cheering on the people around her.

📣❤️ Calling all future Pirate Cheerleaders! 🏴‍☠️

Join us for the Ottawa Recreation Cheer & Pom Camp and spend the week learning from the Ottawa High School Cheerleaders!

Whether your child is brand new to cheer or already loves to perform, this clinic is designed to build confidence, learn new skills, and have tons of fun!

What they'll learn:
📣 Cheer motions, sidelines & chants
🤸 Tumbling basics
⭐ Jump techniques
🙌 Basic stunting (age-appropriate)
💃 Performance & Band dances—because cheerleaders dance too!

All skills and routines are taught based on each athlete's age, so everyone can learn, grow, and be successful.

📣 Junior high athletes: This is a great opportunity to sharpen your skills and build confidence before cheer tryouts this fall! You'll get extra practice in the fundamentals while learning from our OHS cheerleaders and coaches.
