K3 Race Recap 🏁
With pop-up showers in the forecast, we weren’t entirely convinced we’d get the show in. Walking through the gates, it felt like rain could start at any minute, but somehow we never saw a single drop.
Nash had a clean sweep, winning both heats and the feature, but Logan made him earn every lap of it. Those two raced hard, raced clean, and put on a great show from start to finish.
Knox had speed all night too. After a P3 in Heat 1, he was sitting P2 coming to the checkers in the 2nd heat when he saw a hole and went for it. With the top five running nose to tail, it was one of those split-second decisions that can make or break your night. This time it didn’t go his way. He wheel hopped, lost his groove, and a couple drivers slipped underneath him. That put him in the back for the feature, but he drove his way back to a solid P3 finish.
This class is an absolute dogfight. It’s stacked, aggressive, and the margins are razor thin, so every position has to be earned. On any given Saturday, any one of these kids is capable of finding victory lane and deserve it. With the field running nose to tail all night, one lap you’re cheering, the next you’re white-knuckling the fence, and before you know it you’re wondering, “WTF just happened?”
Can’t end this post without thanking the great group of people we have in our corner who make weekends like this possible. We appreciate every sponsor, family member, and friend who believes in these boys and shows up week after week. We definitely don’t take it for granted. 🏁
