Earlier today, Peters Township volleyball player Alex Knox announced her decision to continue her academic and volleyball career at the University of Pittsburgh. Knox also plays for the U19 National Team 🇺🇸 and for 3DGE Volleyball. She helped the Indians win the WPIAL 3A Girls Volleyball Title last school year.

PIAA 2A SOFTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP: (7-3) Laurel wins its first ever PIAA Softball Title after defeating (7-4) Chartiers-Houston this afternoon, 7-1. For the Spartans, Lexi Krol recorded two RBIs while Maddie Evans and Haley Balcom both had two hits. Riley Balcom pitched a complete game for the Spartans. FLIP ALERT: It’s been announced today that Central Catholic cornerback Zachary Gleason Jr. is now committed to West Virginia University. Gleason was committed to Penn State since March. He took a visit to WVU less than two weeks ago. Gleason joins Western Pennsylvania natives Carter Bonner and Dajour Webb as all three of them are now a part of the Mountaineers 2027 recruiting class. 📸🏈
