The North Hills and North Allegheny cheerleaders are teaming up to host a pre-game canned food drive to support North Hills Community Outreach. The drive takes place on Friday, August 28, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at Newman Field. Attendees are encouraged to bring canned goods and non-perishable food items. As a reward for participating, every donation earns an entry into a drawing to win a $250 Juniper Grill gift card. Additionally, the first 100 fans from each team who donate at least two cans or $5 will receive a free pom pom shaker.

On Friday, the North Hills varsity football team will hit the road to begin the 2026 campaign, as they open the season against the North Allegheny Tigers.
