A huge congratulations goes out to sophomore guard, Teague Stump, who signed his national letter of intent to continue his college basketball career and education at Dickinson State University, in North Dakota.

Coach Derek Selvig, and The Blue Hawks compete in the NAIA’s Frontier Conference which is largely made up of schools from Montana and the surrounding region.

Teague is coming off a strong second year at Mendocino where he averaged 18 points and 7 rebounds per contest for the Eagles.

Congratulations Teague, we are proud of you and the scholarship you earned! Keep working hard, and representing well! 〽️

Eagle Point Guard, Travus Boyd earns Bay Valley Conference All-Freshman Team, Honorable Mention.

Boyd averaged 12.5 points, 6.5 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game during conference play.

He ranked number 2 in assists, and 6 in steals in the BVC.

Sophomore guard, Eduardo Badillo locks up a Honorable Mention spot on the Bay Valley Conference Defensive Team.

Badillo finished top 10 in the BVC in steals per game and was night in and night out assigned the challenge of guarding one of the opposing team’s top offensive players.

In Sophomore Night, Eagles Head Coach, Billy Offill described Badillo as “the heart and soul of the team”.

Eduardo’s toughness, heart and defensive prowess is undeniably honorable. 🔒🔒

Teague Stump nets All-Conference Honorable Mention honors.

The sophomore scoring guard finished fourth in the Bay Valley Conference in points per game while earning 18.1 a night, and third in total points with 507 on the season.

Stump also landed 1st in free throws made with 88 in league, 7th in steals with 26, and 8th in rebounds with 6.6 per contest in the BVC.

He scored 18 or better on 14 occasions and torched opposing teams for 28 or more 5 times. His season high was 34 points on the Eagles’ sophomore night and his farewell bid in Blue & Gold.

The Bay Valley Conference has named Rob Salmon to the Men’s Basketball First Team All- Conference.

The sophomore wing averaged a double-double, and led the conference in points per game(20.0), rebounds per game(13), and blocks per game(2).

Salmon finished 3rd in rebounds per game, 5th in blocks per game and 6th in the entire state of California in points per game.

He shot 49.8 percent from the field, 36.5 percent from the three point line and also tallied 2.5 assists per contest.

Salmon scored over 40 points on two different occasions and posted over 25 double doubles this season.

Join us tonight as the Mendocino College Eagles take on the Los Medanos Mustangs and we celebrate the hard work, and dedication of our three sophomores:

Point Guard Eduardo Badillo, Shooting Guard Teague Stump and Wing, Rob Salmon.

All three sophomores will be honored before the tip of the game at 7:00. We hope to see you there as these three talented young men step on the court one last time at Mendocino College.

The Eagles host the Napa Valley Storm this evening. This is the second match up of the season for the two Bay Valley Conference programs.

The Eagles look to calm the Storm after a January 8th loss which Napa Valley closed a close game at home 80-72.

Coming off two close shortcomings for each squad Wednesday night, both teams are hungry for a victory in league play with NVC just one game ahead of MC in BVC standings.

Join us tonight at the Mendocino College gymnasium at 6:00 as we honor and celebrate Native American Heritage as the Eagles take on Contra Costa College.

The Eagles have won two of the last three league games and look to earn another big win over the Contra Costa Comets who are currently tied for 3rd place of the Bay Valley Battle.

With just three guaranteed home game left in the season, the Mendocino College Eagles host Contra Costa College this evening in The U.

The Eagles have won two out of the last three league games and are looking for another big win tonight against the Comets who are in a three-way tie for 3rd place in the battle for the Bay Valley.

The Eagles earned a big, upset win this evening over College of Alameda on the road!

Alameda is currently in second place in the Bay Valley Conference with a 7-4 league record. Mendocino avenged a tough January 2nd home loss(84-59) with tonight’s upset win, with a final tally of 70-61.

MC put together an outstanding defensive effort and rebounded well too. The impressive team effort was led offensively by Sophomore guard, Teague Stump who earned 20 points and 8 boards, Sophomore wing, Rob Salmon who posted 17 and 12, and a breakout performance from freshman, reserve guard, Daylen Woods who knocked down 4 big treys for 12 huge points!

Sophomore guard, Eduardo Badillo’s perimeter defense and freshman big, Brayden Eureaux’s post protection also played a pivotal role in the team’s win. Salmon aided in paint protection as well with 4 blocked shots.

The Eagles suit up next week with home games Wednesday and Friday against Contra Costa and Napa Valley respectively.

Sophomore wing, Rob Salmon enters the Mendocino College Men’s Basketball record book with last night’s historic 42 point outburst against Yuba College.

The 6’7 UC Merced transfer has been putting up impressive numbers all year. Salmon is averaging 20.8 points per game over 22 contests, which leads the Bay Valley Conference and is good for a current 5th place amongst California state scoring leaders.

He is also 2nd in the state and leads the BVC in rebounds per game with 12.5. Additionally, Salmon’s blocks per game(2.14) top the league meter and sits at 6 in state ranks.
