Not my best performance with the USAC CRA Sprint Car Series.

Qualified 10th at Santa Maria Speedway tonight with 2 UGLY laps. Started 2nd in Heat 2 and led mst of the way, but ended up 2nd.

We started 10th in the feature and really got going early with the little engine that could. Roughly halfway through and I was running 4th, keeping up with the leaders when the track started to change drastically and I struggled to keep up with it. I think I started to overdrive the car in an effort to keep up and it just hurt me more. With a few to go, I did a 360 spin and lost about 4 spots, an was docked 2 positions after the race for my little “whoops”.

Credited with 11th place an know I have some things to clean up, especially on a tricky track like that. Awesome work by the Petty Performance Crew and we head back to AZ for 2 nights of racing NEXT weekend!

By far my favorite car at the Woodland Auto Display, and you simply have to see it to appreciate how stunning it looks.

I think of Billy often and cherish the memories and stories we shared.

Qualified 10th out of 26 cars, had some trouble in our Heat Race and DNF’d. It happens.

Lined up 11th on a very tricky track and it felt like I was in heavy traffic for all 30 laps. I don’t know how, but we ended up 7th.

I can’t begin to thank the team enough for all the hard work, including fixing my “mistakes”.
