⛵️ THE WORD IS GETTING OUT!

A big thank you to Wooder Ice and Sail-World for helping spread the word about the Philadelphia Cup Regatta, coming to the Delaware River on October 3, 2026!

40 boats are already registered for a great day of racing hosted by Liberty Sailing Club, Riverton Yacht Club and The Corinthian Yacht Club of Philadelphia.

👀 Want to watch the action? Head to the Philadelphia waterfront! Cherry Street Pier offers a great viewing location, with additional viewing opportunities along the Penn’s Landing waterfront as the boats race on the Delaware.

⛵ Want to race? J/27, J/22, Lightning, Flying Scot, Mariner, V15, Laser, Thistle, Corinthian Sloop, Sunfish and PHRF boats are welcome. Sail something else? Rally two other boats in your class, and you’ve got a race!

Look what our crew created! ⛵🎨

Wednesday night was all about building boats, having fun and getting ready for the Philadelphia Cup Regatta Reception! These handmade sailboats will be part of the décor at the Independence Seaport Museum on October 3.

A special thank you to Tammy Leigh DeMent for organizing the evening and to her mother for providing so many of the wonderful materials.

⛵ Thanks to our boat-building crew — Gloria Esposito, Ronald & Joyce Klein, Johanna Plummer, Sue Solomon, Lisa Lloyd, Charolette Shaw and Tammy Leigh DeMent — with a little supervision from Izzy! 🐾

⛵ Philadelphia favorite and Olympian Nikole “Nikki” Barnes is a huge supporter of the Philadelphia Cup Regatta!

Nikki represented Team USA in the Women’s 470 at the Tokyo Olympic Games and is a three-time All-American sailor.

Jungle Bird Recipe:

🧊 Start with shaking ice
🥃 3/4 oz Appleton Reserve Rum
🍹 3/4 oz Campari
🥃 3/4 oz Wray & Nephew Overproof White Rum
🍍 1 1/2 oz pineapple juice
🍯 1/2 oz simple syrup
🍋‍🟩 1/2 oz lime juice or 1/2 a lime

Shake with ice and pour over ice. Garnish with pineapple.

Be careful! This bird has a kick! 🍹
