June has a special kind of feeling.

It is the countdown, the anticipation, the end-of-year energy, and the quiet realization that something meaningful is close.

For some, it is commencement. For others, it is finishing the term, passing a class, making it through a hard season, preparing for what comes next, or finally seeing the results of work that happened one day at a time.

This month, BMCC is celebrating the moments that deserve to be felt.

The big ones.
The quiet ones.
The ones that make you pause and say, “I really made it here.”

June is here. The moment is coming.

You Made It. Take It In.
The moment is here. Let yourself feel it.

You do not have to have it all figured out before you start.

You can be nervous. You can be unsure. You can have a direction without having the whole map. You can take the online class, show up to the library, ask for help, and slowly start finding your people.

That’s part of what makes this next TimberTalk story so good.

It’s not about someone who had every step perfectly planned.

It’s about someone who chose a direction and kept going.

There’s the class part of college… and then there’s everything else.

The friends you didn’t expect to make.
The club table you stopped by “just to look.”
The instructor who actually knew your name.
The tutor who helped you make it through.
The campus events that gave you a reason to stay a little longer.

Spring Fling was one of those moments. A day to step out of class, connect with people, and remember that BMCC is not just where students come to learn — it’s where they build community, try new things, and find their place.

Around here, student life is part of the story. 💙🐺

For many, this moment is bigger than one person.

25 graduates in this year’s class are part of TRIO—and many are first-generation college students.

The first in their family to do this.
The first to cross this stage.

One step away from June 10.

From the look on my face… we could be talking about anything.

Small towns. Big dreams. College plans. Coffee. Cats. Healthcare. Baking. Life completely not going according to plan.

Honestly? Maybe all of the above.

This next TimberTalk: The Podcast episode is one of those conversations that starts in one place, takes a few turns, and then somehow lands right where it needs to. It’s funny, heartfelt, and full of the kind of real moments that make TimberTalk feel like TimberTalk.

Any guesses where this one is going?

Every journey has its chapters.

Some were exciting. Some were uncertain. Some were challenging in ways no one else could see.

But through it all, our students kept showing up—for their goals, their futures, and themselves.

They’ve grown, adapted, and pushed forward, one step at a time.

While we can’t rewrite the chapters behind us, we always have the opportunity to shape what comes next.

And this moment is a powerful reminder of just how far they’ve come.

Look at you now.

This is what showing up looks like.

From across the map to right here at home.

This year’s graduates represent 11 states—including Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and beyond.

Different places.
One Pack.

All coming together on June 10.

Behind every flag lowered today is a name, a story, a family.

Memorial Day is a time to remember those who gave everything—and the lives forever changed because of that sacrifice.

BMCC is closed today, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day.
We will reopen tomorrow, May 26.

We remember. We honor.

Spring Fling came in hot — literally, there were hot dogs.

The Quad was full, the games were going, prizes were flying, and somewhere in the middle of it all we realized spring term is almost over.

For some students, that means finals are around the corner. For others, commencement is close enough to feel very real.

So before the final push, we packed in one more day of food, fun, and full-on Timberwolf energy.

Thanks for making it a good one, Wolves.

The path isn’t always easy.

There are setbacks. There are long days. There are moments where starting over feels like the only option.

But growth happens in those moments—when you choose to try again, stay committed, and keep moving forward.

At BMCC, our students continue to show up, push through challenges, and build something meaningful—step by step.

They’ve come this far.

Now it’s time to finish strong.

This is what showing up looks like.
