GREEN ZONE

River Speed: around 185 CFS
River Depth: around 1.7 FT
River Temp: 72 degF degF
Today’s Forecast: 82 degF & spotted storms
Weekend Forecast: 87 & Sunny Saturday with chance of storms on Sunday

Basically;
The rain is maintaining the river levels from droughty conditions but expect the river conditions to increase in speed and depth as today’s storms come through! The hydrologic forecast expects the river to get up to 350-400 CFS and touch over 2 feet of average depth by Saturday morning. ALSO, the E Coli levels through the Bellevue section are in the safe zone but watch for potential new debris and strainers left from the recent storms.

One of our guests captured the best pic of our buddy Hank, the great blue heron who’s lived on our home stretch of river for over a decade now! Fun fact; these birds stay in the same nest their entire lives unless their nests were destroyed from storms or development and the oldest living GBH in captivity is 24 years old!

Weekend Forecast: Who knows 🤷‍♂️

Basically;
We can say goodbye to the spring drought and hello to the storms finally bringing in some water! The river is currently flowing wonderfully however more storms are expected soon that our friends at USGS are predicting to bring the river into the RED zone for the weekend. Stay safe y’all! Don’t dare it, just wear it!

It was so much fun getting to paddle the Cumberland at sunrise for the city of Clarksville with my bud Jim! We were part of a video shoot to help promote Clarksville’s opportunities including its recreational activities so obviously I had to rip the river on my short board for the shoot. Dan is dropping the forecast on us and he’s thinking this drought will definitely be out as we get a week of wet weather starting this evening! Thank goodness as today’s current river speed is only 85 CFS at 1.4 ft of average depth in the Bellevue section of the Harpeth!

Happy Earth Day y’all! Our annual Earth Day river clean up on the Harpeth was amazing! Our friend Chris chose to celebrate his birthday giving back to the river with us and we want to wish him a very Happy Birthday and a huge thank you for your help cleaning up our home stretch of the river! We’re stoked for an amazing season and seeing all of you out here with us!
