⚾ PEABODY BABE RUTH FALL BASEBALL UPDATE ⚾

We are getting close to the start of our Fall Baseball season, and we wanted to share an update on our plans!

We have settled on 3 teams, with a maximum of 14 to 15 players per team. That means we have just 4 SPOTS REMAINING!

If you have a friend who is looking to play this fall, now is the time to get them signed up. Spots are first come, first served!

⚾ THIS WEEKEND

While we would much rather be starting our game schedule this weekend, we understand that many families are taking advantage of the last weekend before school starts to get away.

We will instead hold workouts and sandlot style games as we get ready to begin our regular game schedule in September.

📅 Sunday | 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM
📍 Carroll Savage Park
Parking lot at the end of Wilton Street

We will have drills and sandlot style games both days.

🏆 THE FALL SEASON

We are targeting the first games for the first week of September and will play as long as weather and field conditions allow, likely through mid to late October.

Teams will play approximately 2 to 3 games per week.

Saugus will have two teams, and now that we know the team counts, we are working on finalizing the schedule. We will send the complete schedule out as soon as it is ready.

Thanks to everyone who has been coming out and making these workouts a great start to the season. We are looking forward to a great fall of baseball! ⚾

THIS YEAR WILL BE EPIC!

We’ve made the decision to have ONE Fall Ball division this year for ages 12 to 14.

Instead of splitting players into multiple divisions, we’ll bring everyone together and balance the teams by age and ability to create the best Fall Ball experience possible.

⚾ More fun

Our first workouts will be on August 15th at 2:30 pm at Carroll Savage Park (use Wilton St to get to the parking lot).

⚾ Peabody Babe Ruth is proud to congratulate current and former Peabody Babe Ruth players Kaiden Anastas, TJ Bayko, Dylan Colbert, and Noah Thompson on helping Salem Beverly Post 331 earn a spot in the Massachusetts Junior (17U) American Legion State Tournament with a 5 to 1 victory over North Andover last night.

The win advances Salem Beverly Post 331, which includes players from Peabody, Salem, Beverly, and Danvers, to the Massachusetts State Tournament. The tournament is essentially the Elite 8 of Massachusetts Junior (17U) American Legion Baseball, where the state's top eight teams will compete for a state championship beginning this Saturday in Franklin.

Peabody Babe Ruth is proud to see our current and former players continue their baseball journeys at the highest levels of competition. Their hard work, dedication, and love of the game have earned them this opportunity, and we can't wait to see what they accomplish next.

Congratulations, Kaiden, TJ, Dylan, and Noah, and best of luck to Salem Beverly Post 331 in the State Tournament! ⚾

⚾ Looking for something to do Monday night (7/27)?

Come out and support Peabody's own as Salem Beverly Post 331 takes on North Andover Post 219 in the Junior (17U) American Legion Massachusetts District 8 Semifinals!

Salem Beverly Post 331 features players from Peabody, Salem, Beverly, and Danvers, including several current and former Peabody Babe Ruth players who have continued their baseball careers at the next level.

📍 Historic Cooney Field, located at the end of East Street in Beverly. (use 26 East St in your GPS, the lot is after that house. Do not enter "Cooney Field" into your waze/google maps or other GPS, it will bring you to a dead end street near center field with no parking).
🕠 First Pitch: Monday, July 27 at 5:45 PM
🎟️ Admission is FREE! Bring a chair or grab a seat on the historic concrete bleachers behind home plate.

Why is Cooney Field historic? Because THE Babe Ruth (George Herman Ruth) played an exhibition game there on October 10, 1919, hitting a home run in a 2 to 0 victory over a team from Marblehead.

If you or your player have never watched an American Legion (19U) or Junior Legion (17U) game, this is a great opportunity to see what baseball looks like at the end of or after Babe Ruth. It's fast paced, competitive baseball featuring many of the area's top high school players and gives younger players a chance to see where their own baseball journey can take them.

Adding to the excitement, Salem Beverly's Senior American Legion team (19U), with over half the roster being Peabody players, has already won the District 8 Championship in the Senior Division and is currently competing in the Massachusetts State Tournament in Milford, where they are 1-1 through their first two games.

Whether you know one of the players or just enjoy great local baseball, come out and cheer on these athletes in the District 8 Semifinals! ⚾
