Our last spotlight is Tricia our studio owner!

I’m a mom of four, wife to my favorite guy of 24 years, and someone who has never been afraid to try something new! I’ve worn a lot of hats over the years including: serving 8 years on city council, makeup artist, events planner and now studio owner! I graduated from the University of Utah with a BS in Social Sciences.
I grew up dancing and cheering, took ballet and clogging in college, and somehow still have enough energy to keep life interesting! When I am not enjoying time with my family, I work as a treatment coordinator at my husband’s orthodontic practice Thomas Orthodontics.
My favorite job other than mom is The Ridge and the girls I get to love like my own! I also love Coke Zero as much as my dancers! ❤️

Our last teacher spotlight is Brytan!

Hi! I’m Brytan Mickelsen, 27 years old from Idaho Falls, Idaho. I danced competitively for 16 years, with a strong focus on ballet and pointe.

I always tell my dancers that ballet is the cake and everything else is the frosting! I believe strong ballet technique provides the foundation, discipline, strength, and control that dancers need to excel in every other style of dance.

I absolutely love teaching and seeing how much these girls have grown over the past year has been so rewarding. I’m so excited for another year of learning, dancing, and growing together. I can’t wait to see what this year brings!

Our next staff spotlight is Lillian!

Hi my name is Lillian Woidka and I am thrilled to be teaching again this year!
Dance has always been a big part of my life and I’m very excited to continue to be a part of the Ridge community!

I am from Spanish Fork and am currently studying at BYU to become a nurse. I began dancing when I was 3 years old and continued through high school. I spent a couple of years dancing at the Ridge before dancing on the Spanish Fork High School’s drill team.
I love being able to teach and watch these dancers as they develop confidence and technique. Dance has taught me so much and being able to help dancers as they grow their passion for dance is amazing.
I love the Ridge and can’t wait for another amazing year!

Our next teacher spotlight is Dorothy!

Hey hey! I’m Dorothy Pope (aka Dot) and I’m so excited to be back at The Ridge for another year! 🩷

I danced all growing up and came to The Ridge when I was 12. I cheered for Salem Hills High School and was also on the songleading team. I made Utah All-State and was a 2X All-American cheerleader as well. This is my second year coaching the 9th grade team for Salem Rec, and I’m also working on my El Ed degree at BYU!

I want my girls to dance because they LOVE it, not because they’re told to. Watching them grow into better dancers (and better people) is honestly why I do this. Can’t wait for another year of dancing, tumbling, coaching, and making the best memories with the best girls!!!!
