ATC Training Facility is the backbone of training for all local athletes that are respectful, focused, and dedicated to improving. It is a privelege to be a part of this facility or, as some describe it, this "movement." We have old school Townie blood flowing through the facility, blood thicker than any person/persons discouraging directly or indirectly the heart and soul of this community; which
is our beloved student-athletes. We understand that not all students are involved in athletics but can still be involved in groups, clubs, and organizations with the same common underlying motivation and involvement in the production of Townie Pride. At ATC we support all of these local groups as well as sports and fundraisers. They are all the future and need to be allowed to flourish using their strengths to reach maximum potential. In my opinion, our Townie leaders in the community are the Teachers/Coaches, Fire/Police- men/women that are the mentors shaping and instilling valuable lessons to our youth as well as protect them. these mentors would be bred to follow in their families and fellow townies footsteps who paved the way for us. Townie pride existed naturally and effectively because it was so personal with people living and working in the community. Students became teachers, cops, firefighters who then became principals, captains and leutenants and then superintendents and chiefs. Each group held meaningful traditions that were and are ongoing for generations. I encourage all members to continue to contribute their specialty and give back to the community as much as humanly possible. If we all stick together and do our part like running training camps, clinics, seminars, cadet programs etc.. which will get and keep the youth interested in career paths that are beneficial for their livelihoods for their families as well as the community the live and work in. This will ensure Townie Pride is stronger then ever and be prosperous for a long time to come and the powers to be will realize what the pulse of E.P. is, and fully fund the programs that will directly impact our community and way of life. Athletes of all ability levels will improve indefinitely here at ATC through methods of good old fashion "blood, sweat, and tears." If an athlete happens to be talented in one/many areas on top of being a hard worker, then an elite level of performance will be achieved. Our Motto is "Hard Work Over Talent." We encourage character, humility, and teamwork. All athletes will earn every step of the way accomplishing any goal that is set for them or their team. We encourage this mind-frame as a way of life and to approach all of life's situations you are dealt, with on or off the field/court/mat/rink/track. We focus on routines and strict regiments, keeping in mind that quality is much more important then quantity. I always use example of how its more beneficial to execute 3 perfect push-ups opposed to 300 unstable, unbalanced, poor performing push-ups. The facility becomes a second home to the athletes that come here and they are learning naturally how this becomes an outlet for life's everyday struggles. Be grateful, take advantage of the opportunity to train yourself as well as training others and keep the cycle going for as long as you live. -Coach Rodericks
