PINGITORE, FOSTER SET FOR FEATHERWEIGHT SHOWDOWN AT
On Joe "Lights Out" Pingitore's quest to another shot at the World Featherweight Championship, heβs made it clear he wants to test himself against the toughest competition the Northeast has to offer.
The Johnston, R.I., product got what he asked for when he clashes with New Yorkβs Kenny Foster at CES 42 on March 31 at Twin River Casino in Lincoln, R.I., LIVE on AXS TV Fights.

After giving the champ Matt Bessette all he could handle at CES 37, Pingitore rebounded with an impressive first-round submission over Hawaiiβs Spencer Higa at CES 40. According to the outspoken seven-time CES MMA vet, fans can expect more of the same action when the cage door locks in March -- and lots of trash talk along the way.
βI said no more decisions at the beginning of 2016, and Iβve kept true to my word. To be honest, I just donβt give a (expletive) what happens in there anymore. Iβm going in there to get the knockout finish every second of the first round,β offered Pingitore. βKenny Foster is just another body for my trophy case. Heβs not going to stand and trade with me because heβll lose his life. If he tries to wrestle me, heβll have another submission loss on his record. Iβm the (expletive) pitbull to this pound, and I hope he knows the dog fight he signed up for.β
An eight-time Bellator MMA vet, Foster chose not to engage in a war of words with Pingitore. Instead, he simply replied, βJoe is a tough opponent and a worthy challenger.β
Foster did, however, have a piece of advice for Pingitore: Protect your neck.
βIβm going to be able to get him to the ground and submit him.β the 22-fight vet added, βIβm hungry to get this win, and Iβm going to take it.β
