Paige Conley and Charlotte Walz both finished with a 103, while Campbelle Frost finished with a 115. 👏

Six Panthers traveled to Marshall Country Club on Thursday, September 3, for a 9-hole jamboree—and what a great experience it was! Even more exciting… three of our six girls competed in their very first competition! 🎉

The Western girls sure did BATTLE the heat today at Binder Park Golf Course! Despite being soaked with sweat and facing some challenging conditions, the Panthers fought through and finished 3rd overall in today’s 9-hole match!

These six ladies spent the last TWO days preparing for tomorrow’s match at Binder Park Golf Course — and they did it in a way that makes this coach incredibly proud! ⛳️

Using the 18Birdies app, they virtually played each of the nine holes they will face tomorrow. They studied the layout, selected the appropriate clubs, worked through yardages, made their way to the greens, and took notes along the way — all with the goal of being as prepared as possible before they ever step onto the course.

This is what preparation looks like. This is what investing in your game looks like. And I am BEYOND proud of the time, effort, and thought these girls put into getting ready.

And… stay tuned for the DEBUT showing of their new team polos! I am SO excited to see how sharp these ladies are going to look!

A special THANK YOU to our juniors for their input and for helping decide what would be best for our team this season. ❤️

⛳️ I-8 CONFERENCE JAMBOREE #1 — PANTHER GOLF 🏌️‍♀️

If you know the game of golf, you understand the challenges that come with it. Today, some of our ladies faced frustrating challenges, while others played some of the best holes of their high school careers. That’s golf. And more importantly, that’s perseverance. 💪

Competing in their first I-8 Conference Jamboree of the season, the Panthers finished 5th out of 7 teams:

And THAT is what makes me proud to be their coach.

The scores will continue to improve. The swings will continue to develop. But the resilience, determination, and teamwork they showed today are what will take this team to the next level. 💪⛳️

What a great showing for our Lady Panthers at the East Jackson Scramble at Ella Sharp!

Out of 37 teams:

🏌️‍♀️ Juniors Jill Barnes and Taryn Sawyer finished 5th overall with a score of 77. They carded 2 birdies and 10 pars.

🏌️‍♀️ Junior Genevieve Davis and Sophomore Paige Conley finished 12th overall with an 84, recording an impressive 8 pars.

🏌️‍♀️ Sophomores Charlotte Walz and Campbelle Frost finished 20th overall with an 87 and 7 pars.

🏌️‍♀️ Sophomores Aubrey Jones and Jayda Klimmer finished 34th overall with a 102.

So proud of the way these girls competed, supported each other, and represented Western! Keep working hard, ladies.
