Since 1975, Pro Karate Center has been providing instruction in Karate and the martial arts in the Palm Harbor, Dunedin, Ozona, East Lake, Tarpon Springs and Clearwater areas. Pro Karate Center provides a safe and family-oriented martial arts experience for students of all ages. Our mission is to foster self-improvement and personal development through focused training. We promote physical fitness

and positive social interaction in a courteous and fun atmosphere. Our greatest responsibility is to instill in our students a sense of discipline and a code of ethics to inspire them to lead exemplary lives as leaders in the community. Our purpose is to empower all who desire to accomplish their goals by enabling each to achieve his or her potential. Our mission is to serve our members, their families, and our community by utilizing all of our skills and talents to help you or your child develop himself or herself in a healthy and progressive manor.

Don't forget we have the Equipment Swap Fundraiser going on right now at the dojo until 7:30 tonight as well as Thursday from 3:45-7:30pm during classes. Lots of great stuff at great prices!

Saturday 6/6 from 9-1 is the Car Wash Fundraiser.

All proceeds are going to start the Kokoro Foundation and help support getting James to Romania in July (eek only a month and 1/2 away!).

Thank you for your support, donations of equipment, time, money, etc.

Today PKC would like to give our Congratulations to Ethan L. (Sensei Dean & June Lavas) and Danny M. (Sensei Nate & Desiree McKnight). While they are no longer attending the dojo, they and the families are a huge part of our legacy and it is only fitting to give them a shout-out.

We are super proud of you guys. We definitely miss you around the dojo. May God be with you on your next adventure in life! 🥋🎓

Today, we pause to remember the founder of our beloved art, Soke Tatsuo Shimabuku.

On May 30, 1975, the Isshinryu community lost the man whose vision, dedication, and innovation gave birth to a style that would spread across the world and touch countless lives.

More than five decades later, his influence remains evident in every dojo, every kata, every act of discipline, and every student who steps onto the training floor seeking personal growth through Isshinryu Karate.

While generations have passed since Soke’s time, the values he embodied—humility, perseverance, respect, and continuous improvement—remain at the heart of our practice today.

As members of the global Isshinryu family, we honor his memory with gratitude and recommit ourselves to preserving and sharing the legacy he entrusted to us.

May we never forget the man whose teachings continue to unite us across countries, organizations, and generations.

Today we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave everything in service to our country.

Their sacrifice purchased freedoms that many of us enjoy every single day — freedoms that should never be taken for granted. As martial artists, we understand the values of honor, discipline, courage, and respect… and today we recognize those who embodied those values at the highest level.

In observance of Memorial Day, Pro Karate Center will be closed on Monday May 25th. We hope everyone has a safe and meaningful holiday with family and friends.

We are forever grateful for their courage, service, and dedication to our country. ❤️🤍💙
