At Unbridled Paths, our horses are so much more than animals, they are partners, teachers, confidence-builders, and friends.

Every horse in our herd has a unique personality and a special way of connecting with our riders. Through adaptive horsemanship and meaningful interactions, they help create opportunities to practice communication, patience, trust, problem-solving, balance, confidence, and independence, all while building a genuine connection with another living being.

💙 Prince teaches patience, consistency, and confidence.

💚 Gavin inspires curiosity, problem-solving, and joyful engagement.

💙 Willow teaches trust, sensitivity, and quiet courage.

💚 Buttercup brings connection, smiles, and the joy of simply being yourself. ( our mini horse)

💙 Wrangler encourages adaptability, enthusiasm, and embracing new beginnings.

💚 Lark teaches trust, communication, and dependable partnership.

It’s meeting each rider exactly where they are and creating the support they need to experience the connection, movement, and joy that comes with being on a horse.

Sometimes adaptive riding looks like working on balance and strength. Sometimes it’s building confidence and communication. And sometimes… it looks like a sweet kiss from a very special horse. 🥹🐴💜

🐴 BALANCE BEGINS HERE

In this reel, you can hear our Unbridled Paths founder and CTRI® Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor, Nicole Messer on the mic, guiding one of our riders through a balance exercise in real time.

This is adaptive riding in action, not just riding a horse, but learning how to adjust the body, find balance, follow instruction, and build confidence through movement and connection.

*Every cue has a purpose.
*Every movement is progress.
*And every rider is given the opportunity to grow at their own pace. 💙🐴

There’s something about a quiet Sunday that reminds us to slow down and be grateful. 🤍🐴

Grateful for the horses who teach without words.
Grateful for the students who show us what courage looks like.
Grateful for the families who trust us.
And grateful for every person God has placed along this path.

Sometimes the greatest blessings are found in the smallest moments: a new skill, a little more confidence, a connection made, or simply a smile in the saddle.

🐴 There’s science behind every ride.

When a horse walks, the rider’s body is constantly responding to rhythmic, repetitive movement.

That movement requires continuous adjustments in posture, balance, and body position, engaging the rider in ways that may look simple from the outside but involve a great deal of work.

Research on adaptive/therapeutic riding and equine-assisted interventions has reported benefits in areas such as:

• Postural control
• Balance
• Gross motor function
• Coordination
• Gait and mobility
• Muscle symmetry

For our students at Unbridled Paths, every ride is an opportunity to move, learn, participate, and build skills, while forming a connection with an incredible animal.

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the heroes who answered the call.

We remember the firefighters, police officers, first responders, service members, and everyday Americans who showed extraordinary courage in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

We remember the strength, compassion, and unity our country showed in the days that followed.

May we always honor those who never came home, those who ran toward danger to help others, and the families who continue to carry their memories.
