Summer athletic training is about more than getting faster, stronger, or jumping higher.

It's about showing up when nobody is forcing you to.

While other athletes are sleeping in, scrolling their phones, or wasting the summer away, champions are putting in the work. Every sprint, every jump, every rep, and every workout is a deposit into the athlete you're becoming.

The athletes who make the biggest improvements this fall won't be the most talented. They'll be the ones who stayed consistent all summer long.

Most athletes think agility training is just running through ladders fast and looking cool for Instagram 😅

But real agility?
It’s the ability to CONTROL your body while moving fast.

⚡ Decelerating
⚡ Changing direction
⚡ Reacting quickly
⚡ Staying balanced under fatigue
⚡ Producing force without losing mechanics

That’s the difference between an athlete who LOOKS fast… and one who actually performs fast in competition.

At The Grind Gym, we train agility with purpose.
Not just random cone drills to make kids tired.

We focus on:

🏈⚽🏐 ATHLETES: What you eat BEFORE training matters 👏

One of the biggest mistakes we see with athletes ages 12–17 is showing up to practice or training underfueled 😵‍💫

If your athlete hasn’t eaten enough before a workout, they may experience:
❌ Low energy
❌ Slower speed & reaction time
❌ Poor focus
❌ Less strength/power output
❌ Early fatigue
❌ Feeling dizzy or sick during workouts

Your body needs FUEL to perform 💪🔥

⏰ A good goal:
Eat a balanced meal about 2–3 hours before practice/training
OR a smaller snack 30–60 minutes before.

Great pre-workout foods for athletes:
🍌 Banana + peanut butter
🥯 Bagel with cream cheese or turkey
🍓 Greek yogurt + fruit
🍚 Rice + chicken
🍎 Applesauce pouch + granola bar
🥪 Turkey sandwich
🥣 Oatmeal with berries
🥔 Potato + protein source

The goal is simple:
✅ Carbs for energy
✅ Protein for muscle support
✅ Easy-to-digest foods

And don’t forget WATER 💧
Even mild dehydration can affect performance.

Athletes who fuel properly recover better, train harder, and perform better over time 👊

Reports have surfaced of unusual activity at The Grind Gym…

✔️ Humans voluntarily doing burpees
✔️ Loud music shaking the atmosphere
✔️ Coach Jacob yelling “ONE MORE REP” with non-human intensity

Frankly… it’s suspicious.

Some say it’s a small group training program.
