Day 3 of the Purler Wrestling Academy Camp in Spokane. Our girls learned valuable technique that we will implement in our practice plans this upcoming year. I’m sure it was tough to sacrifice 3 days of their summer vacation, but they were on the mat 12 1/2 hours this weekend. This experience will certainly pay off. Great job, girls.

Our wrestling team has been at the Red Neck Duals these last 2 days battling. Our girls have some sprains, bumps, bruises, and have had an occasional bloody nose. But they sucked it up and finished with 12 wins and 2 losses against quality competition from Washington, Idaho, and Oregon. One more day and then we’ll rest.

Othello welcomed 2x All-American, Kevin Roberts and his daughter, 4x WA State Champion, Libby, for a 2 day wrestling camp. Our girls are determined to win it all next year, and the work hasn’t stopped. We have 2 more camps this summer, and we’re getting better.

Who- ONLY Othello girls entering 6th grade-12th grade
When- June 23 and June 24
Times- 10 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 3 pm on both days (lunch on your own)
Where- OHS auxiliary gym
