🚫 “Bad” things I do as a personal trainer (and why I still do them) 👀
As a PT, people assume I live in a constant state of chicken, broccoli, and never missing a workout. Truth is… real fitness is about balance, not perfection.
Here are 4 things that are often seen as “bad” — but I still 100% incorporate into my lifestyle ⬇️
1️⃣ I eat over my macros sometimes
Because life happens. One day over doesn’t ruin progress — chronic imbalance does. I focus on consistency over time, not hitting numbers perfectly every day.
2️⃣ I drink alcohol occasionally 🍷
Fitness shouldn’t mean missing out on social moments. I plan for it, enjoy it, and move on. Guilt-free.
3️⃣ I eat foods with little “nutritional value” 🍕🍩
Because food is also joy. A healthy lifestyle includes flexibility, not restriction. One meal won’t make or break your results.
4️⃣ I take TWO rest days 😴
Rest isn’t lazy - it’s essential. Recovery is where your body adapts, grows, and avoids burnout. Training harder isn’t always training smarter.
💡 If your fitness plan feels miserable, it’s probably not sustainable.
My goal (for myself and my clients) is a lifestyle you can maintain long term - mentally and physically.
Progress > perfection.
Balance > extremes.
