Orange County Public Schools believes that a healthy staff can more effectively perform their assigned duties and model appropriate wellness behaviors to students. The OCPS Employee Wellness Program (EWP) is designed to reach all employees at various levels of interest and need. Since we are self-insured, we strongly support wellness activities that encourage our employees to play an active role i

n their own health status. We offer preventive and disease management activities in two parallel tracks of complementary services (clinical/non-clinical). Both tracks offer a full continuum of prevention, early detection and health maintenance components.

If you have kidney disease, staying up to date with recommended vaccines is one of the best ways to help protect your health.

For people with chronic kidney disease, those on dialysis, those taking prescription medications for end-stage renal disease and others who are immunocompromised, vaccination can be a safe way to help protect against serious disease and related complications that can lead to hospitalization and even death.

Always talk with a trusted healthcare professional about recommended vaccines. If your healthcare professional does not offer the vaccines you need in their office, ask for a referral to ensure you get all of the vaccines recommended for you.
