I (Dom) wish I knew then what I know today. It takes time so make sure you allow your self enoug time to grow and improve.

RV life is really good about throwing new things at ya but small steps and small wins are for a long haul.

⛰️ Checking in from time to time is very important so that we don’t miss out on what matters.

With so much noise in the world today, it’s more important than ever to take a moment and do what makes you happy.

We are a full time RV couple that has been on the road for over six years now. We work full time remotely and have obligations just like anyone else. But prioritizing what it’s important is what makes it all worth it.

🏕️ We just wrapped up a wonderful long weekend of boondocking with our dear friend Sandra. She just bought an Airstream Basecamp and this was her maiden voyage at 10,000 feet! We are greatful that she chose to us to be part of her exciting adventure.

🙋‍♀️We met Sandra a few years ago while visiting Grand Junction CO. We are blessed to have met such a wonderful person as she is like family to us now. Meeting new people is just one of the many great things about living the full-time RV life.

🌳The boondocking area of choice was in the National Forest NW of Crested Butte CO which I (Dom) call the Switzerland of the United States. By far one of my favorite towns in North America.

🥾Adventures like this one would not be complete without a great hike with our dogs, grilling food and sharing stories around the fire at night. Due to stage 2 fire warnings in the area we used a propane fire pit, which were allowed by the Forest Management. We were lucky enough to see families of deer, including a velvet-coated 4-point buck, and as we were packing up this morning, Kyra spotted a bear coming down the hill across the road from us!

This was only one amazing adventure. We are looking forward to many more with Sandra in the near future.

🚵‍♂️ Brake upgrades 😀

There are a lot of good brake products available on the market! We chose Hope.

Both of our bikes came with SRAM brakes and neither one of us like them from day one. Braking modulation and grip was lacking mostly when aggressive riding downhill trails.

I (Dom) upgraded my brakes to Hope Tech V4 back in 2024 the same week I got my Nomad. I absolutely enjoy the brakes for two years now.

Kyra’s bike finally got an upgrade to Hope EVO GR4 suitable for Enduro and gravity. The EVO is an upgrade to the predecessor V4 which is what i have on my bike.

Looking forward to bed the brakes on some downhill trails in Crested Butte in the coming weeks.

Happy 1️⃣4️⃣ years anniversary to us 💃🕺As the old saying goes, time fly when you’re having fun. Boy isn’t that true!?

This year we’ve decided to do our own hill climb challenge to the top of the Pikes Peak which sits at 14,115 feet of elevation. But here’s an interesting part that led to this adventure, hang with me here for a minute. 😄

I (Dom) have always had the passion for car racing since I was a little kid. Fast forward to 15 years ago when I was part of SCCA for five years. If you are not familiar with the acronym, it stands for Sports Car Club of America. Back then I had the opportunity to own and race a Mitsubishi Evolution MR which is a pure rally car breed. The car pushed 650HP at wheels and weighted at 3,000 lbs. To say it was fast is an understatement.

So naturally Kyra had this idea where we get to have our own hill climb challenge and celebrate our 14th anniversary at 14,115 feet while climbing the mountain in a 1.4L Turbo motor with our 14 year old Chihuahua. 😂 You can’t make this up!!

This experience combined with the celebration of our commitment to each other for all these years was just unique and special.

We also got to solve a donut 🍩 mystery. A tale goes that if you buy a donut at that elevation, it completely deflates by the time you drive down the mountain due to high elevation loss. So we got two donuts and took them for a ride down the mountain. 😂 Take a wild guess, the donuts did not deflate at all. 😂 But needless to say we had an amazing time and solved a donut mystery.

Life is a blessing! Adventure as much as you can.

🏜️ We’ve finally made it to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison CO NP.

We could spend all weekend here exploring around. The park is split between the North and South Rim. The South RIm is a paved road that will take you through 12 overlooks. There is a visitor center offering great options of gifs and information about the park. The bottom of the South Rim was closed due the flash flooding a few days ago so we didn’t get to explore that part this time around.

The North Rim is unpaved and more of a remote adventure type of drive. We only got to visit the South Rim this time around but will definitely go back to fully explore the North Rim before we leave the area. Due to the wilder fires, Gold Mountain and Elk Fires in the nearby area smoky filter added a layer of intense nature captured in time.

This is a trully amazing park with so much to offer and we are looking forward to go back and explore the rest.

Hello friends! We have been MIA for a while due to many factors in our life. We are healthy and focused on re-aligning to the life of adventure we chose six years ago when we started our full-time, RV-life journey.

As you most of you know, I (Dom) am behind the posts on Instagram. We have new adventurers who recently joined our journey and we welcome you! We are excited to be part of your life and journey, as well.

Yesterday, Kyra and I realized how many wonderful places we have visited while traveling and it’s unbelievably amazing. All while both of us work full-time, corporate jobs. Hard work definitely pays off!

We have exciting travels coming up and we can’t wait to share them with you. The longer we live this lifestyle, the more we feel like we’re just beginning to immerse ourselves in it.

I have always enjoyed stories. We all have our own stories and I am excited to hear everyone else’s. I’m looking forward to bringing you along through our travels with an added layer of our stories behind the places we share with you.

Today we re-visited Wupatki National Monument in AZ. It has been 5 years since we last visited and it looks just as peaceful and amazing.
