Our Senior team captain, Brodie Fisher. Challenged the team last year to run cross country to help them improve in basketball. This guy didn’t go out there and just get through it. He attacked it. Went to regionals last year in cross country and then came back from a fractured growth plate in his ankle with two weeks left in track season and proceeded to go to regionals in track as well. He’s already doing great things this year in cross country and I have no doubts he’s going to lead this team on a big time turnaround this season. Bear Nation, we’re coming…

There will be no basketball skills workouts this week except for Wednesday(July 15) from 7am-8am. Weightlifting and running will still be happening and all athletes should be there. This is the last week of summer workouts!

We’re so grateful for the many years of unwavering support from Mr. Pete Mota who was an absolute LCM Super Fan. He was there so often to cheer on all of our student athletes in all sports. All of our athletes, parents and coaches were blessed to know him. Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. 💚💛🙏🏻

It’s been a good start to summer with these young men. The last 2 days, these guys went to a Team Camp at Northwestern State University and they left as a better team and a more bonded team. They went 4-2 over the 2 days against stiff competition and continue to show growth and a drive to keep improving. A special thank you to Lisa Fisher and Amber Hawk for bringing the kids to camp and taking on the title of Coach for the weekend and helping to teach these young men the right way to play and handle themselves on and off the court. The Smith crew had a good time cheering on their favorite Bears as well and the job is always way better when the kids and families in the program feel like family. Enjoyed watching these guys get better today! Great job fellas!

Another basketball camp in the books! We had a great time this week with all our campers and enjoyed watching them compete, get better and have fun! A big thank you to the parents for sending their kids this week and their continued support as well as Coach DuBose and Coach Carlin for all your hard work this week. Excited about next year with these guys. Returning all but 2 guys and have added several freshman to the mix who are adding a lot of excitement to the program. This group went 2-1 in the Vidor spring league and picked up 2 wins at Barbe High School’s tournament the last 2 days against some really good competition.
