Is the skating rink gonna be busy today?
If this is a question you’ve wondered, you’re not alone!
One of you gave me an idea to make some kind of color code to give an idea of what a day could look like.
✅ A green light or symbol means we have one party scheduled during our open skate hours and we expect the general crowd to be low. No guarantee, but a green light might mean it’s a good time to skate with less people around?
⚠️ a yellow light or symbol means we have at least 2 parties scheduled. It won’t be too crowded but there will be a small crowd. Perfect for those that want others to skate with but not crowded!
🚨 on a red light or symbol we have 3 parties scheduled and it will be pretty busy. If you like crowds and a party atmosphere, this is definitely the best time to come!

Kids are in school till around 3
What can we do Thursday mornings that you would want?
Moms on wheels - skatercising?
Homeschool recess?
Toddlers time? A safe time for your little kids to learn how to skate?
No skates allowed? A time where you can bring your scooter and wheels?
Rotate all the above?
Is there enough people that want normal skating?
Not interested in coming on Thursday?

Being closed Monday-Wednesday was hard 😬 but it’s nice not having all the extra overhead that comes with being open for little to no people 😭

New hours!
Thursday Sunday 1pm-9pm
Friday and Saturday 1pm-11pm
We are closed Monday Tuesday and Wednesday but these days will be available for private reservations 10am-1pm, 2pm-5pm and 6pm-9pm

2nd day of school! As expected…
Yesterday was a pretty slow day.
We had 9 customers between our 2 venues
Gaming at the ORC and Skating at the ORC , which is ok! We are all very busy right now.

Time to change the schedule to adjust for school hours
Today we will be open 1pm-9pm
Starting next week we will be closed
Monday Tuesday and Wednesday

Hours will be Thursday and Sunday 1pm-9pm
Friday and Saturday 1pm-11pm

These will be the hours for both venues.
We will still be available by appointment Monday-Wednesday for private reservations.

10-1, 2-5, 6-9 you can reserve either venue for $250

Plan your field trips, homeschool outings, or Wednesday night youth groups. Have your field trips at the Orc and let’s make fun!

My 5 year goal is a bowling alley, go kart track. Maybe we could get there faster but I need to fix the current business first, there’s so much to learn!

Today we had our last trial run of our painting experience! Before today, our largest group had been eight people
….This was a group of 38 😳
It was a tad chaotic, but I was glad to see everyone having fun despite the crowded space. I hope everyone was able to get cleaned up easily enough!
I’m ready to go live and start taking reservations!
For now, open by appointment only, $20 admission, no charge for spectators. A minimum of 3 people, 12 max. It takes about an hour from the time you start. Included is paint, a water paint gun and at least one paint water balloon per person
I hope this will be a unique and fun small group experience and will help us take another tiny step to make fun!

AC update!
This old building has had some ac problems this summer, yesterday we had someone come out and got a few of the down units going, still a lot of work to do but there should be an improvement this week!

When I escape Orange County i use it as an opportunity to scout out what other places are doing. Tonight my wife and I stopped by Pour09 Bar & Rooftop. I love what they are doing here! Can we bring something like this to Orange? Outside of the skating rink? What do you think?
