We are saddened to hear of the passing of Coach Evans. Lee was a great guy and was a class act on and off the diamond. Unity Baseball extends its sincerest sympathies and prayers to the Evans family and ELC community at this time 🙏
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of longtime ELC coach and educator, Lee Evans.
Lee dedicated many years to serving ELC students in a variety of roles. He was a teacher and Student Success Coordinator, as well as a coach who shared his time, knowledge, and passion with student-athletes in baseball, basketball, and football throughout his career.
While many knew him as Coach Evans, his impact reached far beyond athletics. Whether in the classroom, working one-on-one with students, or coaching from the sidelines and dugout, Lee cared deeply about the young people he served. Through his leadership, encouragement, and commitment to ELC, he influenced generations of students and athletes and formed relationships that lasted long after graduation.
This summer, we had the privilege of celebrating Lee and his tremendous contributions to ELC athletics with his induction into the Estherville Lincoln Central Booster Club Hall of Fame. We are especially grateful that he was able to receive that well-deserved recognition and be surrounded by so many people whose lives he impacted.
Our hearts are with Lee's family, friends, colleagues, former players and students, and everyone in our ELC community who had the privilege of knowing him.
Thank you, Lee, for the countless hours, lessons, memories, and years you gave to ELC. Your legacy will live on through the many lives you touched. ❤️🖤
