June is here!! It's our 4 Year Anniversary!!

This month Level A will focus on Mixing 6 & 8 count moves to add fluidity to your patterns. Level B is all about Lindy Rizz with some exciting new variations and patterns!

Big Announcements! June 29th Anniversary Dance with the EJ Crocker Quartet! We are thirlled to host this lovely band again.

Summer Break from July through August. South Sound Stomp is taking the summer off to rest, rebuild, and recalibrate. Things will look different in September, but we will be back in the Olympia Ballroom teaching Lindy Hop. Stay tuned for Summer Popups for community dancing and gathering.

Black history month is every month! We continue exploring black history and learning the roots and culture of Lindy Hop, and honoring this art forms elders. Join us!!

March brings us Spring and the start of new connections. Level A will start building the Charleston basics. Level B will focus on an all level Balboa class taught by Savannah our guest teacher from Tacoma. Balboa is a dance from 1930's California and best with faster tempo music. Savannah is a Balboa enthusiast and has traveled to learn from the best. She hosts Bal to the Bone in Tacoma and we are thrilled to have her join us!

Level B is open to all skill levels this month!

February is Black History Month. We honor and celebrate the contributions of Black Americans throughout history. We express eternal gratitude for the folks in 1920's Harlem, Savoy Ballroom, for creating Lindy Hop. Influenced by West African Dance, Lindy Hop was part of the Harlem Renaissance, an important time for art, music, and literature. We encourage you to learn and celebrate the vast diversity in America.

Learn the historic Lindy Hop with South Sound Stomp! February classes further skills in rhythm and movement. Level A will mix 6 & 8 count moves for fluidity in your dancing. This is a perfect class for anyone regardless of skill level. Level B will focus on Spicy New Moves. 💃
