I do not stand for bullying and I teach my children and students. Give a firm warning and if it continues well they have been warned and that goes for if someone is bullying someone else and you warn them. Stand up against bully’s bc the world need hero’s big and small.

A mother from Louisiana sparked a debate after saying she teaches her children to fight back if someone physically attacks them.

Brittany Norris believes kids should know how to stand up for themselves. But not everyone agrees with her approach.

As a jiu-jitsu instructor, I believe there’s a big difference between teaching a child to fight and teaching a child how to defend themselves.

Self-defense should be about confidence, awareness, control, and knowing when to get away from danger. It also means knowing when to ask an adult for help.

We don’t want children looking for fights. We want them to have the skills and judgment to protect themselves when necessary.

Parents, where do you stand on this? Should kids be taught to fight back when physically bullied?
