This year, the Brunswick Islands are pulling out all the stops for the country's semiquincentennial, and Ocean Ridge sits right in the middle of it all. From the Sunset Beach Old Bridge Parade (just down the road, July 4 at 9 a.m.) to fireworks over the Ocean Isle Beach Pier at 9:15 p.m., to a full week of festival in Southport — there's a celebration for every kind of neighbor.

We've put together a Fourth of July playbook on the blog, including the lesser-known America 250 history programs running all summer at the Museum of Coastal Carolina, Brunswick Town/Fort Anderson, and the NC Maritime Museum.
