Our owner Julie served a decade in the U.S. Air Force… so a storm? Not even close to her toughest day. 🇺🇸

After last week’s damage, our whole team had all hands on deck, and WCIA 3 News came out to capture the comeback.

There’s still debris to clear and a couple of activities on pause while the water settles but the most important thing? We’re OPEN. ☀️

Storm Update

A strong storm rolled through the park last night, bringing down trees & scattering debris. Cleanup is underway, and here’s where things stand:

1️⃣ Volunteers are welcome! 🙏

Want to lend a hand? Meet us at the restaurant at 9 AM. Park staff will direct volunteers where to go from there. Every set of hands helps us bounce back faster!

2️⃣ We’ll be open tomorrow! ✅

Boat rentals are a go and Tom will have the shop open. Check current river levels before you head out at kickapooadventures.com (River tab, scroll down).

• The restaurant will be closed
• Go-boats & e-bikes are unavailable (these need electricity to run)

🏕️ For Campers

Campgrounds remain open, but there’s currently no electricity and no timeframe yet for when it’ll be restored. Please note there are no lights in the restrooms.
