🏀 Oak Grove Panthers Middle School Basketball Camp 🏀

Calling all future Panthers entering 7th & 8th grade for the 2026-27 school year!

Join Oak Grove Boys Basketball this summer for the Oak Grove Middle School Basketball Camp, focused on:
✔️ Offensive Skills
✔️ Fundamentals
✔️ Team Bonding

📅 Camp Dates:
June 2nd, 3rd, 4th 9th, 16th, & 23rd
⏰ Time: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
📍 Location: Oak Grove R-VI Middle School Gym

💲 Cost: $25 per athlete
(Includes camp shirt & helps support the upcoming season.)

The Oak Grove Activities Department is proud to announce Lloyd “Micky” Wheeler as the next Head Baseball Coach for the Oak Grove R-VI High School Panthers!

A proud Oak Grove alumnus, Coach Wheeler brings championship experience, proven leadership, and a deep commitment to Panther Athletics and our student-athletes. He will continue serving as Head Coach of the Oak Grove girls' softball program while leading the future of Panther Baseball.

STATE STANDOUTS. RECORD BREAKERS. HISTORY MAKERS.

delivered an unforgettable performance at the MSHSAA Class 3 State Track & Field Championships! 🔥

🥇 KEIYANA LAMELL made HISTORY as Oak Grove’s first-ever Girls Javelin STATE CHAMPION with a personal-record throw of 40.22m!

🥇 Eva Alexander secured her SECOND STATE TITLE in discus with a PR and school-record throw of 43.56m while also earning a 4th place state medal in shot put with another PR throw of 11.60m!

🏅 Sophia Rivers brought home TWO STATE MEDALS, finishing:
🥉 3rd Place — 1600m
🏅 4th Place — 3200m

To top it all off, the Lady Panthers finished as a TOP 5 TEAM in the state!

Today, the Oak Grove R-VI School District pauses to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, selflessness, and unwavering commitment to protecting our freedoms and liberties will never be forgotten.

Because of their sacrifice, we are able to live, learn, gather, and pursue opportunities each and every day. Memorial Day is more than a holiday — it is a time to reflect on the true cost of freedom and to honor the heroes who gave everything for something greater than themselves.

As families across our community spend time together today, we encourage everyone to take a moment to remember those who never made it home and the loved ones who continue to carry their legacy forward.

We also want to recognize and thank the graduates of the Oak Grove R-VI High School Class of 2026 who have answered the call to serve our country by joining the United States Armed Forces. Your willingness to step forward and serve something greater than yourself is honorable and deeply appreciated. May you be protected everywhere you go, and may you always carry the pride and support of Panther Nation with you. 🇺🇸

🏐 Congratulations to OGHS Freshman Piper Hudson on being selected once again to train with the National Training Development Program in Colorado Springs, Colorado through her club volleyball team

This is an outstanding accomplishment and a testament to Piper’s hard work, dedication, and commitment to improving her game at the highest level. Opportunities like this allow student-athletes to compete and train alongside some of the top talent in the country while representing Panther Nation on a national stage.

We are proud of you, Piper, and can’t wait to see all you accomplish this summer and beyond. Keep working and keep representing Oak Grove the right way!

RECORD BOOK REWRITTEN ⚾️

Congratulations to OGHS Baseball players Ford Greaves and Rocky Brocato on making Panther history this season!

Ford Greaves has officially broken the Oak Grove High School single-season home run record, launching an incredible 7 home runs this year.

Rocky Brocato etched his name into the record books as well by setting a new single-game home run record with 3 home runs in one game.

What a season for these Panthers and what an accomplishment for two athletes leaving their mark on OGHS Baseball history.
