The 16U Lady Blue Demons have finished their season off with a Championship victory in Traverse City, Michigan.
Back in 2023 a core group of 13/14 year old (now 16/17) girls who had played together as early as 8 years old were left to find a new home after their organization folded. Oak Forest Baseball Association embraced a new chapter and welcomed these now young women into their family. Since throwing out the very first softball pitch for OFBA in the fall of 2023 the Oak Forest Lady Blue Demons have shared the field together for 120+ wins and have accomplished their goal of competing in the highest tier of softball talent in elite PGF, Top Gun, LP4U and Showcase tournaments playing in front of college coaches every weekend. Sadly, or happily, these young women are at the age where adult life and future aspirations start to become prioritized and will be concluding their time together at the end of the 2026 summer season. Some will continue to play, some will focus on their education and/or collegiate athletic career, some will focus other passions – all will cherish the time they spent together on and off the field!
