Golf is in the DNA of Folds of Honor. Next week, the best collegiate players in the country will be in Michigan for the Folds of Honor Collegiate at American Dunes in Grand Haven.

This is the 5th annual edition, running September 6-9. Fifteen men's teams and twelve women's teams will compete in a 54-hole stroke play event, with a field that includes all the Service Academies, two HBCU programs, and a Division II qualifier.

American Dunes is the Jack Nicklaus designed course built as a tribute to fallen and disabled service members, and 100% of the course's profits go straight to Folds of Honor scholarships.
Golf Channel will broadcast live all four days. Spectators are welcome and access is free.

If you're anywhere near Grand Haven next week, this is one worth seeing in person!

Tom Gillis is heading back to the PGA Tour. Just not as a player.

The Lake Orion native and former Tour pro is swapping spots to caddie full-time for PGA Tour player Tom Hoge, starting this fall. He spent this season looping for George McNeill on the PGA Tour Champions Tour before making the jump.

His first event on the bag: the Biltmore Championship in Asheville, Sept. 17-20.

Medinah is set. USA vs. The International Team, Sept 24-27.

USA has won 10 straight. International's last and only win in the event's history is 1998, and a tie back in 2003.

The gap shows up in the numbers too. USA is rolling out 7 of the world's top 10 players. International's highest ranked guy, Si Woo Kim, sits at No. 13 and doesn't have a single player inside the top 10.

Widen it out and USA has 11 of their 12 players ranked inside the world's top 50. International has 5.

On paper, this isn't close. Total blowout or International miracle?
