May has been a month of construction at the farm! Thankfully these projects are coming to a close, but many improvements have been made in the last thirty days!
🚧 Mid month we started the four day project of re-roofing the entire barn. Sections of the indoor arena needed the plywood replaced due to shingles that failed, so those areas were changed out and waterproof membrane with new shingles were put on the entire facility.
🦺The indoor arena was prepped for hot dry weather with two bags of Hydro Keep to help keep moisture in the footing.
A dry well was installed at the back of the barn to create better drainage for our wash stall and grain room sink. No more backups in our near future!
🚜 The outdoor sand arena needed some maintenance to fix deep areas in addition to old fabric that kept coming to the surface. On the Level Precision Grading took on the task of removing the existing sand, grading out a new stone dust base while removing the existing fabric layer, and laying the sand back down. That is one more day away from completion, but we’re all looking forward to riding down there once it’s done!
