Phoenix Arts, formerly known as LeRoux School of the Arts, was established in 2009 in the Plymouth Square Shopping Center in Conshohocken, PA, under the direction of Miss Susie. What began as a small but vibrant dance studio with approximately 130 students and a dedicated competition team of

30 dancers quickly became a beloved part of the community. In 2017, the shopping center was sold to new developers, and our studio space was included in the redevelopment plans. With only two months to relocate and rebuild, Phoenix Arts made a bold move to Blue Bell, Montgomery County—transforming part of Miss Susie’s home into a fully functioning, home-based dance studio. What began as a temporary solution has since blossomed into a thriving arts community. Today, Phoenix Arts serves nearly 250 enrolled students and has welcomed over 2,000 children through its camps and after-school programs. The intimacy and accessibility of our home-based setting have created a warm, family-friendly environment where students feel safe, supported, and inspired to grow. Our presence in Blue Bell has allowed us to expand our offerings and deepen our connection to the local community. Rising from the challenges of relocation, Phoenix Arts was reborn—more inclusive, more affordable, more convenient, and more committed than ever to our mission. We are super excited to welcome another community in Norristown in January 2026 at our second location! We are thrilled to be expanding and spreading our mission across Montgomery County! At Phoenix Arts, we are dedicated to providing high-quality instruction in the performing arts, with a strong focus on dance and fitness for students of all ages and abilities. Our programs include Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Theater, and Acro for both children and adults. We also proudly offer All Boys Classes, Special Needs Services, and toddler programs that blend dance, music, and tumbling. This week marked the last week of classes in what so many of our students lovingly called “Miss Susie’s Dance House.”

Eight years ago, after unexpectedly having to leave our space at Plymouth Square Shopping Center, I was terrified. We went from a large commercial studio to a much smaller space inside my home. I worried what people would think. I worried families wouldn’t stay. I worried we would lose everything we had worked so hard to build.

Instead, something beautiful happened.

That little dance house became home. It welcomed thousands of dancers through its doors. It allowed us to serve families throughout Blue Bell and surrounding communities in ways we never had before. Friendships were formed, confidence was built, countless recital dances were learned, and a true community was created.

What I’ll never forget is the unwavering support of our families. Year after year, you showed up. You trusted us. You believed in our mission and in what we wanted to create for your children and our community. Never once did you judge the size of the space. You saw the heart inside of it.

Because of you, that little dance house became so much more than a studio. It became a place where children felt seen, families felt connected, and dreams were nurtured.

As we close this chapter and continue growing into the future, my heart is overflowing with gratitude for every dancer, parent, teacher, and family who made those eight years so special.

Thank you for believing in us. Thank you for making Miss Susie’s Dance House a place I’ll carry with me forever. ❤️

As we wrap up our final Friday of dance classes for the season, we wanted to give a special shoutout to our amazing Boys Hip Hop crew! 🖤❤️

What started as a small class has continued to grow into something truly special. These boys show up each week ready to work hard, support each other, and have fun while building confidence through dance. Watching their friendships, skills, and love for movement grow has been one of the highlights of our year.

We’re so excited to share that Boys Hip Hop will be moving to Wednesdays next season, and our class is already almost sold out! Thank you to the families who continue to trust us and help us create a space where boys can be themselves, stay active, and shine.

We can’t wait to see what next year brings. The future is bright for our Boys Hip Hop program! 🔥🕺

June 13th is our 16th Annual Dance Recital. Our sweet 16th year as a business and our 1st year running a Non Profit.

It wouldn’t be possible without the amazing people & companies who sponsored us.

With their help, we’ve been able to get new headsets for our show, purchase staff shirts, provide snacks & water bottles for our dancers backstage, & lunch for our team & students in both shows.
