Ocean View Run Club Ocean View Run Club is an inclusive, supportive running group created to enhance community health through running related events.

It is also our goal to support local businesses, and to participate in various philanthropies throughout OV and beyond.

We hope you’re having a wonderful Labor Day weekend✨

🏃🏃🏽‍♀️Some of us started the day with an early morning run and some post-run fun (aka coffee/drinks/ & breakfast/treats:)

Here’s our schedule for the rest of the week:

🌅Tuesday (5:30 AM): Pre-Sunrise Run.
📍Pinewell . Meet at OV Christian Academy (9504 Selby Pl) Wells Pkwy side.
💡It is getting dark; running lights recommended!

🔵Thursday (6 PM): Group Run/Walk.
📍 Surf Rider

🟡Saturday (**7️⃣AM): Long/Weekend Run.
📍 Coaster Coffee
‼️Reminder: we are back to 7:00 meetups starting September. If you prefer to start early, feel free to do so…just let us know.

🔶Sunday, Sept 13th: Elizabeth River Run 10K.
Check the race website for details; final race instruction should be hitting our inbox early this week. Meetup & other race day details to follow.

A li’l change of scenery from OV to Portsmouth.
It was a very hot morning but a lovely start of the holiday weekend —water view run, good talks (& laughs) over breakfast, farmers market & even classic cars. Enjoy the rest of your Labor Day weekend!

We will see you tomorrow (Saturday) for our weekend/long run.
🗓️ Sept 5th ⏰ 7 AM
📍Yoolks on Us (515 Washington St, Portsmouth).
We will be running parts of the Elizabeth River Run 10K course. See comment section for the full couse (10K) and the Striders preview course (5K)
For longer run, continue on High St.

We will see you this evening for some h🥵t Thursday miles.

🩵Meet at the LOVE sign pre-run.
🌊Meet at the top deck [or inside if it’s too hot] post-run for some food, refreshing drinks and awesome views🌅.
It will be a very hot run; hydrate & slow down as needed!
And if you wanna dip in the water, bring extra clothes/shoes. Enjoy this Summer heat; you might miss it😁

September schedule is here!
☀️It’s been a hot Summer, but Fall is right around the corner. Looking forward to happier and cooler weather🍂🍁

🌅Tuesdays (5:30 AM): Pre-Sunrise Run. If you are an early bird, come and join us. Please note: it is getting dark again so get those running lights charged and ready.

☀️Thursdays (6 PM): group run/walk and social. Open to everyone! Let’s stay active/get moving and support local businesses.

🌞Saturdays (**7 AM). Weekend/long run.
We are heading back to some of our favorite routes [& new one/s]; get those miles and be ready for Fall races. **As some of you know, our Saturday meetup time changes per season. Please note: we’re back to 7:00 meetup starting in September (of course, starting early is always an option)

Fall races are coming soon; let’s continue to support each other in getting those miles and sharing smiles!

Each year, we get together and run the CHKD RunWalk for the Kids in support of the Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters (CHKD).
This year, the race was moved from May to August. It was a really hot & humid morning…but we did it. Great job team.
Let’s do it again next year..and see you all next week!
