What's that you say? No carb counting? Kudos to this T1D dad, Dr. Ed Damiano, for this amazing technology.

Thank you to all the JDRF Advocates and the Senate HELP Committee for all their hard work to approve a 2 year renewal of the Special Diabetes Program.

More positive news this morning on the Special Diabetes Program (SDP)! The Senate HELP Committee approved a 2-year renewal of the SDP at $170 million, plus an added 3 months, extending the program through December 2025!

Thank you to Senate Diabetes Caucus Co-Chairs U.S. Senator Susan Collins & Senator Jeanne Shaheen for your leadership on the SDP, and to Committee Chair Bernie Sanders & Ranking Member U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy.

The SDP is a critical Federal program supporting research at the National Institutes of Health. We’re grateful for the work and support of our Advocates and Members of Congress as we work toward SDP renewal!
