Norfolk Collegiate Tennis The OAKS are always in season! Girls: VISAA State semi-finalists 2017, 2018, and finalists 2019. Boys: VISAA State Finalists 2017, 2018.

TCIS co-champs, home of D2 state player of the year 2017. The Girls are working hard this season, and are so gait to be back! They finished the 2019 season with a run to the state finals. This was the OAKS' third consecutive appearance in the final four. The boys are looking to build on the 2021 season, returning 5 of 6 top seeds. The Norfolk Collegiate boys were VISAA State Finalists in 2016 and

2017, as well as TCIS co-champs and Home of the D2 state player of the year in 2017. Both squads are coached by PTR certified coach and former college player James Moskowitz who also teaches AP government and US government in the upper school. James is assisted former CNU player Christopher Yost (JV), and Jordan Miller of the NYCC. The Oaks compete in the Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools and in Division 2 of the Virginia Independent School Athletic Association (VISAA). Regular season schedules feature about 16 matches, and culminate in conference, and (hopefully/usually) state tournament play. JV and Varsity home matches and practices are hosted a few blocks from the Collegiate campus at the Folkes Stevens Tennis Center at Old Dominion University.

Missing tennis with the team on a rainy day.
This served as a little "pick me up." Special thanks to Michael and his uncle.

The inaugural Norfolk Collegiate Invitational was a blast!

The "757 All stars" coached by Darryl Cummings took home the gold. Collegiate showed well among the traditional high school teams, with a 5-4 win over Academy and a 7-2 win over Trinity Episcopal.

Special thanks to the Collegiate parents who hosted Saturday's lunch and made sure that all the players stayed hydrated throughout.

Over 70 matches (including exhibitions) were played in less than 24 hours on 12 courts. So many deuce points.... A good handful of tiebreakers... and a lot of fun! Thank you to ODU and the staff at the Folkes Stevens Tennis Center for receiving us so warmly!
