For those that don’t know Cody his song Friday Night Lights is out today! Cody is a Newton Alum that attributes his inspiration for this song being his previous coaches, including Coach John Jenkins and playing football in our community. There is something special about the impact that Football has on a town, and we are grateful to be able to represent our awesome community. Our preseason scrimmage is two weeks from today at HA Lynn stadium!

Friday Night Lights is out! This song is specific and special to me and for coaches who impact the lives of many young men in high school who play football. On average one million high school boys play on a high school football team every year.
To the late John Jenkins, the coach we had in small town Newton, Iowa who taught us that it was more important to be a good person than a good player. (But we did have a lot of good players too)
Thank you to the musicians who brought my song to life from an acoustic version to what feels like my favorite song to date.

Good Evening,

Our football players are selling discount coupon cards to help raise money for our program. They are coming out over the next week. Money that is fundraised for our program has gone to many upgrades that our program has been able to make over the past few seasons. Over the past five seasons, we have been able to update our blocking sled, our lineman chutes, get a QB net, get an updated kicking net, get a tackling machine, and updated blocking shields. This season we are using GPS chips to help manage our player's workload and track their intensity in practice. This fundraised money is used to help keep updating training equipment, and helping provide the best training experience we possibly can. We appreciate the support! The cards sell for $25, and there are over $300 in savings on this card. We appreciate all of the businesses that are willing to help us out with this!
