Well here she is! The 2026 wrap is ready to hit the track! Gpa and dad got started as soon as we got home from racing last night, worked on it most of the way through the night and finished it up a little bit ago!!

Pictures do not do this thing justice. Can't wait to get it on the track!! Thanks to Underdog Design & Drawing for the sweet wrap!

Come check it out this Wednesday in Marshalltown for the Rev Up Downtown car show. We will have it there!

Shoutout to our sponsors. Thank you for making this possible!

Newton Kart Klub Results 5-23-26
Box Stock (BP) - 5 total karts

Heat 1 - Started 3rd - Finished 4th
The kart that was supposed to start 2nd had issues on the pace lap so that moved Trent to starting outside front row. After 5 attempts at a start where the kart on the pole started taking off on the backstretch (had some help, was being pushed by the kart behind him) instead of waiting until the line in turn 4 like was mentioned in the drivers meeting, they threw the green but the start was the same so the flag man turned on the yellow as it was not a good start but got overruled and turned the green light back on and let the start go. Trent saw the yellow and started to slow down. By the time he got back on the gas when the green light turned back on he was unfortunately in 4th and quite a way back. He drove his butt off and caught 2nd and 3rd but couldn't quite make a pass and finished 4th.

Heat 2 - Started 3rd - Finished 5th.
The initial start got called back for the same thing as in the first heat. They had the yellow light on and went green coming out of 4. Trent got pinched down into the loose stuff and about spun out. He saved it but was way back yet again. Drove hard but nothing he could do at that point.

Feature - Started 4th - Finished 4th.
Trent got a really good start and found himself in 3rd right away. Drove hard but one kart got by him and he rode in 4th for the rest of the race slowly pulling away from the kart behind him.

Overall a good night. Made gains each time out and brought it home in one piece. He dealt with the stuff he couldn't control very well even when it put him in unfavorable situations. Very proud of him for that.

We tore the kart down after the races and put the new chassis together with the new wrap last night and finished it today. Huge thanks to Papa for staying so late and coming back this morning to help us out! The old chassis was bent way worse than we thought. So we're excited to see how the next race goes!

The new wrap reveal will be posted shortly!!

Shoutout to our sponsors thank you for making this possible!

5-9-26 Newton Kart Klub Results
Box Stock (BP Wing) class - 5 karts total.

Trent had his first outdoor BP race of his career Saturday. Unfortunately there were only 5 karts in his class. This is usually the biggest class at most tracks. He went out for hot laps and the heat races and the changes we made over the winter were in hopes to get the kart to turn better and not be as tight. Well they worked! He was free/loose all night. Took him a while to get used to how different it drove and how bumpy the track was. But each time he hit the track he got faster and smoother.

Heat 1 - Started 5th - Finished 5th.
Was very loose and learned a lot. Took over half a second off his lap times from hotlaps.

Heat 2 - Started 1st - Finished 4th.
The karts that did show up were all top notch and a couple were able to get around him and he ran 3rd for a lap or 2 before one more got around him. He finished 4th.

Feature - Started 5th - Finished 5th.
Paced the field for a little bit but struggled some with how loose the kart still was and the bumps.
Managed to learn a lot and got even faster.

Overall a great first outdoor race for him in the BP class against very tough competition. Congrats to Braylen, Gannon, and Ryker on their 1-2-3 finish.

Now we got the thing freed up we can work to find that perfect balance for him. Excited to keep making this thing faster and watch him grow in by far the toughest classes he's ever ran.

We are hoping to have the new wrap by next race at Newton and will be aiming to hit up English Creek and other tracks off and on.

Thanks to all of our sponsors for allowing us to keep doing what we love to do!

We can't wait to get this new body and wrap done and show it off. We apologize to all of our new sponsors that our wrap wasn't ready for the first race but trust us it will be worth the wait and we will make sure to get all the pictures when it's done!

P.S. we are taking suggestions for where to get a new race suit for Trent. He has pretty much outgrown this one. We are not sure if we want to go custom or not, so any suggestions and or experiences are welcome!

You see a kid in a go-kart and think…
“How cute.”
“A fun little hobby.”
“Something to pass the time.”

You see a dad working on the kart in the pits and think…
“Just tinkering.”
“Just racing.”

You see a mom in the stands, filming, cheering, packing snacks and think…
“Just watching.”

But what you don’t see is everything behind it.

You don’t see the late nights in the garage
when everyone else is inside… and they’re still chasing one more adjustment.

You don’t see the money quietly shuffled around
to make sure tires get replaced, parts get ordered, entry fees get paid.

You don’t see the long drives home
where the car is quiet…
because not every race ends the way they hoped.

You don’t see the kid replaying every lap in their head
wondering what they could’ve done better.

Or the parents choosing their words carefully…
because they’re building a driver,
but more importantly, they’re raising a person.

Because go-kart racing?
It’s not just laps around a track.

It’s discipline.
It’s heartbreak.
It’s learning how to lose
without losing yourself.

It’s learning how to win
without forgetting who helped you get there.

It’s family dinners eaten out of coolers.
It’s sunburns and sweatshirts in the same day.
It’s a life lived between trailers, tools, and checkered flags.

And those kids?
They’re not just driving.

They’re learning how to handle pressure.
How to stay focused when everything in you wants to panic.
How to get back out there… even after a bad run.

So no… it’s not “just a hobby.”

It’s early mornings.
It’s sacrifices.
It’s everything we don’t post about.

It’s a family sport in every sense of the word.

Because behind every kid on that track…
is a whole crew
who gave up a lot
just to watch them chase it.

And if you’ve ever sat in those stands,
heart racing with them every lap…

you already know

this life isn’t simple.
But we’d choose it
every single time. 🏁
