A stellar day for us to launch the youth racing season at today's Youth Challenge. Both the Optimist and C420 classes completed four races. (see scores: https://theclubspot.com/regatta/SqFmbFp2Dc/results). Images all by Stephen Cloutier and the full album is available here on our page. It turned into a bit of a cloudy day but a strong breeze of 10+ knots for all of the racing. Racing continues tomorrow.

t's finally starting to feel like summer, with sunshine, beautiful weather, and spectacular Newport sunsets. We are celebrating the return of the season with three Sunset Socials for members and guests at our waterfront facility. The summer events will take place on three Thursday evenings: June 25, July 16, and August 6 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. each evening. There is no cost to members and $10 for nonmember guest tickets. https://sailnewport.org/events/2026-sunset-socials/

The events include live music, cocktails, food trucks, BBQ, Tiki bar, fire pits, fun activities, sailing updates, and a chance to enjoy the camaraderie of Sail Newport members. Oh, and did we mention the spectacular view?!
