Hi Everyone! My name is Jessica Walter and I just finished my 5-year Division I playing career at UConn and will continue to be giving lessons as a full-time instructor at D-BAT Newark!

After pitching in college for the last 5 years, I know what it takes to pitch at the next level and succeed, and I’m so excited to continue sharing that with young athletes!

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

• Finished my travel ball career with EC Bullets
• 2021 Delaware State Champion pitcher with Caravel Academy
• 4-year pitcher at Providence College and graduated with a Biology degree
• Finished my college career at UConn while pursuing my MBA
• 2026 Big East Champion and Tournament MVP
• 2026 First Team All-Conference
• UConn record holder for single-season appearances (42) and saves (9)

I specialize in developing speed and spin, perfecting mechanics, and training the mental side of pitching.

⚾️ Building the Future of Pike Creek Baseball & Softball ⚾️

One of the things we’re most excited about this summer is the opportunity to work with so many young athletes from Pike Creek Little League.

Every great player starts with a foundation. The fundamentals these players are learning this week—throwing, fielding, hitting, teamwork, confidence, and work ethic—are the building blocks that will help them succeed for years to come.

Our goal isn’t only to provide a great week of camp. Our goal is to build a long-term relationship with the players and families of Pike Creek Little League. As these athletes continue to grow, we’ll continue to challenge them with more advanced instruction, higher-level training, and new opportunities to develop their game.

The players in this week’s camp may be some of the youngest athletes in the league, but in a few short years they’ll be the leaders, all-stars, and impact players on the bigger fields.

That’s why consistency matters. When players continue to attend D-BAT camps, clinics, lessons, and training opportunities, we’re able to build on the skills they’ve already learned instead of starting over each year. The growth that happens over time is where the real magic is.

We’re proud to be investing in the future of Pike Creek Little League and can’t wait to watch these athletes continue to develop season after season.

Please Help Us Welcome Doron “D-Train” Griffin to the D-BAT Newark Team!

At D-BAT Newark, we look for instructors who not only know the game, but who can make a lasting impact on our athletes. That’s exactly what D-Train brings to our team.

Doron has been a longtime D-BAT Newark Platinum Member, and we’ve had the privilege of watching his journey firsthand. Year after year, he showed up, put in the work and continued to improve. His commitment to getting better, his determination to play at the next level, and the example he set for others stood out.

Now, after an outstanding high school career and earning the opportunity to continue playing at Goldey-Beacom College, Doron is able to share his knowledge and love of the game by giving lessons at D-BAT. His accomplishments include being named the 2026 DSAC Player of the Year, a 2nd Team All-State Pitcher, a Blue-Gold All-Star, and a First Team All-Conference selection as both a pitcher and first baseman.

What makes Doron special is his ability to connect with players of all ages. Younger athletes are drawn to his energy, positivity, and encouragement, while older players trust him because of his on field success. He understands what it takes to develop, compete, and reach the next level.

As an instructor, Doron specializes in hitting, pitching, defensive development, velocity training, and pitch creation. He brings a positive attitude, strong baseball knowledge, and a genuine passion for helping athletes improve both on and off the field.

Please join us in welcoming Doron Griffin to the D-BAT Newark coaching staff. We couldn’t be more excited to have him on board and look forward to the impact he’ll make on our players and families.
